Something that struck me from D'Amaro's talk so far - just how bogged down Disney is getting with anniversary celebrations. There are so many properties now, it is becoming hard to even keep track of who is celebrating what. I think the effectiveness of them is being dramatically reduced as a marketing tool.

It’s better than when the marketing team flat out said when asked why they didn’t promote Mickey’s birthday or other major milestones like they used to… it was because then people would know how old things were and be disinterested. The one Chapek thing I have liked is not being afraid to acknowledge the anniversaries.

Ineffective marketing can be the result of bland and insincere campaigns not “too many.” See that logo they just unveiled. If things were exciting and substantive no one would complain about “too much.” They’d be asking “what’s next?”
