So according to one of my Facebook friends, Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem has soft opened at USF. Anyone ride it? Thoughts?

Not sure about soft opening, but I do know they've been doing Team Member previews. Today's session was 2-4pm.

Yes, it is in soft open as of this afternoon/evening. Hopefully we'll start seeing some reaction soon

Reactions have been extremely positive for the attraction. Full opening should probably be within a week or two.

I was so excited to see this would be opening July 2. We arrive at Universal July 6. I thought Despicable Me was fantastic! Can't wait to check this one out!!!!

Was really hoping to do it before the concerts tonight, but because of other things that came up I didn't get to the park until about 4pm.

Got to ride on Sunday with a 30 min. wait after the parade. Thought it was very well done - much better than Neutron. I love how they added another pre-show simply because they could. Hope it makes its way to Hollywood soon.

They would've already axed it if they couldn't get parts for it. It would be impossible to refurbish.

Yup. These types of rides exist everywhere too, from theme parks to tourist trap attractions. It wouldn't be impossible, and rumors are abound for it to replace T2:3D out here.
