Totally agree as I'm a Deluxe snobs. I know people say it's only room. To me there is so much more to do at a Deluxe around the resort. I actually get tired at the theme parks...dare I say bored at times :zipit: I've been so many times the last 6 years and there hasn't been that many new attractions. So I've stated to enjoy activities around the park, especially at BC and AKL. Now at AKL you can sit in the rooms for hours and enjoy the Savannah. AS for BC, you have the sand beach, boardwalk, restraruants, boats, movie on the beach, the large pool, etc. To add to that, it is all about location and Epcot is a great walk to Epcot where we enjoy dining. We are Deluxe snobs, but YES, the Deluxes are far too expensive compared to the amenities that you get. But we still pay the prices, although never rack rate.
But, with that price you shouldn't be sharing buses.
People who say Disney deluxe resorts are worth the money have never really been to a true deluxe resort. I understand demand dictates the price, but there is absolutely nothing "deluxe" about them. I've been to plenty of hotels around the world that would put any Disney deluxe to shame, including the Grand Floridian.
I will only stay at moderates because that's as much as I can bare paying without feeling like I'm being taken advantage of.
One of my biggest pet peeves with the Beach Club. Since Swan/Dolphin are technically not in the Disney Deluxe Resort Category, why do they share busses with the Beach Club and Boardwalk? They should have their own busses, IMHO.
They are expensive for what they are, but for where they are located the prices are on par.
