Yep. I see that too.

From what I've seen it's one. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's not a photo of the actual seat. Again this doesn't match with what I've seen so I can't say what it actually is.

It seems quite possible that this is just some sort of test dummy. May only reflect the final product in the slightest ways.

You'll have to forgive me if this was discussed elsewhere, but does anyone have any info on what kind of ride system this will use? Will it be similar to Soarin', or will it be a coaster/dark ride hybrid similar to Tron? The show building looks massive, so that could point to a coaster-type system, although a building that size could house quite a few higher-capacity Soarin-style theaters. Really hard to tell from the picture, although the scenery in front of the banshee in the pic does kind of look like a large screen. I'm sure @marni1971 probably knows, but understandably cannot fill us in.

A hybrid of a Soarin' style ride system.

It will be like Soarin. Here is a picture inside the show building show where the ride vehicles will be.

Can we assume that this is the correct ride vehicle but just one (or two) of them rather than the extensive row of these banshees that will provide a more Soarin-esque experience on the actual attraction?

This isn't the ride system, or anything close to it. Sorry to disappoint.
I tend to believe you since 1) we know old Click-Bait Corless's track record when it comes to "breaking news" and 2) I don't see how this could possibly be a practical ride vehicle judging by the way the imagineers are sitting on it.

I guess it's possible this was an early concept. Maybe this is what Iger rode a while back but has changed since then.

This was an early proof of concept. Back when Iger and Cameron were describing how amazing and life like the flying feeling was going to be- they were on that thing.

The good news: these will still be incredibly convincing "banshees" with skin and will be able to mimic flapping wings, breathing, and head movement. Note the mimic part, not all of that will be tied to physical movements- it'll be very convincing for first time riders but once you actually break down everything it'll seem pretty basic. Still, since 99.999% of riders will not be seasoned park goers and/or repeat visitors, the effect will be spectacular. It's like any other ride- the first few times you haven't grown accustomed to the visual, auditory and touch sensations. Flight of Passage will set a new standard for those sensations, for a screen based ride anyway.
