Very interesting! Believe it or not I have never heard about this story before and I have been to Disney approx 18 times and my DH at least 2 dozen.
Thanks for posting the link!

In my world, DB is short for dirt bag. Now, I know everyone working at the parks isn't perfect, but to create a whole pin series for them...

It's a viral marketing set up by Disney. Screamscape has learned the way to decode the language of the DeeBees. Rumor is that is will have something to do with Pin Trading.

I decoded the message yesterday morning after finding findthedeebees.com on Screamscape.com. I thought it was kind of a joke so I did not post my findings. It was pretty easy to decode. :)

Yeah, it most likely will. But it was a nice idea. Too bad for the execution with it being on the pin-trading website and all...

And yeah, the code was cracked on screamscape.

This is honestly the best they can come up with?

I swear if I see one person running around going "I'm a DEEBEE!" I'm going to scream!

I think that it is a Retro Collection of Merchandise.... becasue if you look at the symbols they seem very retro... Like the Orange Bird, old PeopleMOver car, and such....

When i was at the Pin Trading event a couple of weeks ago, the Disney Product Developers were there and tehy said that next year they will have more Retro Disney things at both parks, DL and WDW

A new merchandise line called Mickey Monsters were just released. They are plush figures shaped like mickey bodies, but have weird stuff all over them. They were listed as series one on the tag and said something like

"Mickey Monsters hide out in the theme parks at night. You never know where they could be. They could be right in front of you!"

I just don't know how people are expected to jump on board with these kind of things. Let's give people some things that can only be found at the parks, allows them to relive their memories once they get back home, are unique, fun to look at, and different.

Does that loud 'Celebrate Everday' logo found everywhere accomplish any of that? Nope.

I did too, its more fun to figure it out yourself without using the key. Took about 20-30 mins for me to get down to the message. :)

The blog is pretty lame. Feels like a big corporation trying to imitate some DIY ethic. How many bloggers put the copyright symbol after typing out "Disneyland Park"?

Try again, Disney.

Or on second thought, don't.

I know! I sound like ZunarJ51, minus the obvious oblivious stupidity. :lookaroun

Some posters here also remind me of Mntz28 as well...

Though the MCP2010 reminds me of a troll from a few years ago, as I was a lurker:

"hey! I posTed a picture of the Secret messAge from the event. i wonder what it saYS? Do you think anyonE will BE able to figurE it out?"

:ROFLOL:

Methinks that Disney happens to be reading these boards WAAAYYYY too much....
