I wanted to see adult activities so I touched that one. It brings up the list that looks like this. See how the top item is faded? That means it already happened. It's no longer available. See the blue heart next to the Italian Cocktail Tasting? That's because I've already favorited it. Not only would this appear on my favorite list, but when looking at the entire day list it's highlighted for me.

Now, I want to see more on the Italian Cocktails. Touch it and this comes up. This is where you touch the heart to save or unsave something on your list. See the blue heart? Also, below where it states the location do you see the arrow on the right? Touch the location and it brings up the location on a deck plan for you. So easy to use!

I wish if thought more about doing more screen grabs to illustrate the navigation but that's all I did. Because the Italian Cocktail Tasting was starting and I needed to pay attention like a good girl. ;) Seriously, think of all the people using smart phones for their photos on vacation. Having the Navigator and camera all-in-one is convenient!

Wow! This would have been perfect for meet and greets on my last trip!

I know! I didn't need the deck plans because I'm familiar but first timers would find this worth the world in itself. The paper Navigator doesn't have the deck plans. That's a different sheet of paper. Right?
Yes. Actually, I found that the map for the Muppets Detective Agency was better than any other Deck Plans I saw (including the signs, which were largely worthless to me)...

I've told a few people who are going as first timers that I recommend they pick them up and do it the first night, just to get a lay of the land (I wish we had...I spent the first two days largely lost!)...

But, with the app...wow.

Also, putting things like the Meet and Greets on the plan itself is good. I mentioned in my trip report that we were going to go see Stitch...and the Navigator said "Deck 4 mid"...well...Deck 4 mid is pretty big! Not that we didn't find him, but it would have been nice to know exactly where he was going to be.

But, like you mentioned (at least for the Fantasy, and I suspect I would feel pretty comfortable on the Dream), now that I know the ship, it's really not that big a deal. But, for a first timer, it's a HUGE benefit!

What was also cool was in the movies section we saved the movies we wanted to see. It populated that movie for each show time into the rest of the days of the cruise on our favorites list. Missed the movie but it's still not greyed-out on the list? That's because it's showing again at another time in the voyage. Touch the movie title and up pops a list of showings in chronological order. Very helpful! We got to see Planes onboard. Missed Monsters University because they kept showing it once a day at 8:30 am. Like THAT was gonna happen! LOL!

That is super cool, Kelly. Thank you for taking all the screen captures!
I only wish I'd thought to do more of the screen captures. It really was a useful thing to have. One afternoon we returned to our stateroom and while walking down the hall ahead of us a mom was talking to her kids asking them if they knew if their younger sibling's club was open yet. I whipped out my phone, made a few touches, and confirmed for her that the club was opening in 10 minutes. It's the little things, ya know?

Nope - did dream in '11 and doing fantasy in nov
Gotcha. Looking at the Dream for next year, but the trips are two short. I'm actually considering doing a double dip...EC on the Fantasy, then Bermuda on the Dream.

I don't think the Panama Canal on the Wonder is gonna work for me...just too much time away from school for the kiddo...

I just read this:

DCL is testing a new mobile app for their Navigator's while on-board. It's currently limited to the 9/7 & 9/14 sailings of the Disney Fantasy. The app will connect to the ships WiFi network for FREE to get it's data.

Search Disney Fantasy in the Apple app store or Google Play store. Once the program is fully launched, it appears as if there will be a separate app for each ship.

I'll be on the 9/14 Fantasy! Guess I'll be reporting on this for y'all!

A little hesitant, tho. Are the cruise ships going the way of the MM+ crap?????
Horrible news. First the IT and MBA folks ruin the resorts and parks and now the ships. It is a vacation people.
