In fact, if you look at the back of the clock in your stateroom there is a note on it that says something to the effect of.

"This is a part of the room, if you take it, you will be charged $100 (or some insane amount). However you can buy them in the gift shop for $40"

It also plays when you wish upon a star for an alarm, if that makes any difference.
