Dare I...?

Switch from what is still kind of a favorite restaurant to another? This involves deciding between Trails End and Whispering Canyon. Whispering Canyon was a fav. But I posted a thread a few days ago of how I didn't enjoy the fried chicken and the pork chops. It seems only the skillet is good. I want to eat at one these places since we are staying at WL. So dare I switch from WCC to Trails End? Thanks :slurp:

Depends on what you want. While Trails's End might have better food, which I'm not sure about since they also serve ribs and chicken, the dining experience at WCC is fun. Trail's End has good service, but it's not the experience that WCC is!

But, if you want to try a different place to eat, Trail's End is a good place to eat.:slurp:

I agree to try something new; but at the same time, I don't think Trail's End compares to WCC. It is decent food, and a decent atmosphere, but not the same experience.

OK, leaning more towards Trails End. But let me ask: Is it walking distance from WL? Or how do you get there from WL? I may still just do WCC for breakfast at least. :slurp: Thanks

During the day, there is a paved trail you can take from Wilderness Lodge over to Fort Wilderness. It's a good ten minute walk or so, and is a fun, refreshing walk to take on a nice day. It connects to Fort Wildnerness there where Mickey's BBQ is held. I've seen quite a few deer when taking that path. You'll see a lot of folks riding bikes along the way too.

I too love both Trail's End & Whispering Canyon! Tough decision. But, I agree. Try something different.

Trail's End has the best chili & cornbread!

We always make a point to go to TE. Our favorite meal is the breakfast. We are not huge fans of character meals, but do enjoy a buffet now and then.

This is a nice place to go for a change of pace. You really feel like you have left the hustle and bustle to a quieter time.

We have stayed at WL during our last 10 visits. I am not a huge fan of WCC. It's a little too over the top, but some folks really enjoy that. I think the problem stems from our 1999 September trip. They had closed next to everything because of a hurrican. Our only option was WCC. The wait was 3 hours for a meal and it was some of the worst stuff I have ever had.

We've been a couple times since then, but still not overly impressed.
