Please, give any suggestions..Don't limit yoruself to Asia! We can put any single ride in, but do refrain from beastly kingdom, simply because we are not building an entire land...

Also, Roller Coasters aren't the only type of E-ticket....
Lets bounce some Ideas off the walls!

I have had an idea for an EMV based attraction, but complelty different from any ride already at AK(ie Dinosaur):

Basic components:

Cars would seat 8 across and 6 back

there woudl be an eisle down the middle splitting 4 seats on each side.

The hydorlics below would be rather more complex than the current EMV

At a certain part of the ride the cars simulate an acutal free-fall, ie they start to fall with the bottom parallel to the ground and then as the car falls vertically it tilt till the the car is perpendicular to the ground then smoothly hits and runs forward at high speeds.

Yes this is possible I am not sutdying to be a mechanical egineer for nothing, I can fill you guys in to the actual mechanics later if you wish.

The mahority of the ride is viewing wildlife as you scale a mountain then you go inside through a large open-air (not really ther is glass) bat flight cave, then you go a little deeper into the caves until an earthquake simulated in side the cave hits and causes your car to do the descirbed fall for about a 7 story fall.

Basically this is my idea for Forbidden Mountain but the basics could really be applied to anything, just a suggestion

I really want to do an undersea EMV ride. I'm more facinated by the sea and the possibilities there but I also like the volcano/mountain idea. I actually have a great idea for that. - The WeirdOne

Could that possibly be a tie in with Atlantis , i know its not a good movie but it could be a good tie in. Or maybe rejuvanate 20, 000 leagues liek a rescue to save the subs. I dunno , just ideas

Hmm..the only qualm I have with the undersea thing is that it needs an entire land..I wanted to keep this quick, with some layouts, and some art, nothing big.

DO you think that you could put the motion base on a vehicle the size of--say a GMR vehicle? If so, I would have fun exploring the possibilities of a Native American Ride for Camp Minnie-Mickey..-

What motion base are you talking about, the typical EMV or the one I proposed?

And do you mean an acutally car from GMR or a chain of cars?

If you went with teh atlantas theme it could go into Dino of discovery island because after all Milo thatch was an archlogesit(or however you spell it)

It doesn't have to be fast and thrilling to be an e-ticket. Many shows have been e-tickets and by no means are they exciting. So, please, don't use that excuse. Sorry, it's a pet peeve. Anyone else want to comment on my thought. - The WeirdOne

Yes, definetly, just cause it's slow doesn't mean it's not an E-ticket..
I infact had a ride using the UoE/GMR type technology, basically it was called "Spirits of America" and it started out as a camp 'Meeting' in a big hall/lodge building, where they are
describing the types of activities available while you were at Camp Minnie-Mickey, but everything goes black, and an old Native American shaman appears in a puff of smoke, claims he's taken you into the 'dreamtime', and wants to show you what the "Real America Is..The America of his ancestors.." Then you go through an outdoor exhibit that showcases the landscape and animals of many of the regions in America..(Grand Canyon Scene, Plains, Rockies, Sequia Forests, Swamps, all with their respective animals)
Then it ended on a conservation note with an inspirational and special fx type ending, and eventually, you are returned back to the lodge to catch the conclusion of the meeting, as if nothing happened..

Sponser.....Sysco! Paper products division, gotta have trees for paper..Ok, nevermind that, just a thought

COuld it be put on a UoE car, or GMR car? Because we could incorporate the movement into my above mentioned ride, while it would still be rather slow moving, the added motion would be more fun. PLus, the free-fall type thing would be fun for the end, for returning back from the dream time..IMagine, a huge IMAX screen showing a collage of scenes from America..the music is playing and the voice of the wisened old Shaman comes on. All the while, your car is slowly raising..

A big flash of light, that temporarily blinds you (I.E. Poseidon's Fury), The cars drop, and the Imax Screen is covered up, suddenly, You're back in the lodge you started in, and the Camp conselor is finishing his/her speech.

Once again, where would this Atlantis land be placed, and how would it showcase animals/ conservation methods...? I'd be happy to consider it and look at it if you can show how it can fit in..Maybe if you give a short ride description, like what I did above, then we could have a go at it

This could include live action or/and an animatroics.

I'm sure we could put Hyrdolics on EMV type GMR vehicles.. Just wouldnt be as fast moving.

It would use both. The Consuler would be real, but the Shaman guy and any animatronics used in a show building would be AA

Certaintly, actually the system is the EMV base on top of a second hydropic plate system. Although I am not sure the free-fall would work in the enviornemnt you described the car does acutally go down the drop hill equivilent to a vertiacal coaster drop, the second hydraulic plate then compinsates for the position of the car in relation to a real free-fall. I know that was kinda vauge but it is the easiest description of it with out wipping out some diagrams. Point beining there would need to be some "run-out" room after the drop, perhapse you could run through fog and random halographic images and then you end up back in the lodge, or actually I could probably modify the system to get rid of the "run-out" area, but it would take some thinking I don't have time to do right now, but I would this weekend

I was exactly saying a land, i mean for an example buzz lightyear is in tommorowland bu tit isnt exactly its own land, but anyways, i was thing puting it over in dino-land near the water.

Heres my ride idea, its a thought, just came up with it so of course it needs tweaking, First of all you walk into an official looking building where you are told that you are going to be going on an expidition with agroup of archielogists and you are shown in film , similar to Dinosaur(with puppet....) the parameters of teh expidtionand your leader Milo Thatch, he expalins that this expidition has to go underwater and so everyone loads into what looks to be the ulysses(?) as you look out the window youll see the fish and marine life but you still continue walking. The next step is kida tricky , you have to have some sort of floor panels that vibrate to simulate teh attack by that giant metal creature, everyone escapes through escape pods(motion simulator) and when you exit teh vehicle you have the entrance to atlantis. You hop onto emv's that will take you on a tour with a few surprises including teh warning from the king and teh sceen with teh bright light. All of a sudden there is an earthquake and you realize you need to get out some how, narrator(smililar to dinosaur) tells you that there is no need to worry and that there is a ballon waiting to get everyone out, another tricky part, you get into a ballon shapped divice that lifts liek the hydrolators at living seas and your miraculosly back on earth, you thanked by milo (in altletan gear) and tehn you have the option to buy a photo. End of ride. Its really needs tweaaking.

Thats teh gerneral idea and i consider that an E ticket Ride

Well, that sounds pretty good for maybe the Studios or MK, but this is for the Animal Kingdom, where are the animals or atleast natural enviornment/conservation (ala Kali Rapids). Just because there could be an archielogical tie in does not mean it would fit with Dino-land either, there are still no Dinos.

Sounds like a preety cool idea, just not meant for AK

Chad, I actually like your ride idea! I'm intrigued now. Plus, instead of the shaman apearing and then nothing really tiing that in. We should have it that the roof all of a sudden goes blak and fiber optic star appear everywhere. And then in a giant explosion, he appears and then he goes on. Get it? - The WeirdOne

Hmm..FigmentDream, as always, I want to know more...I think I've got some sort of idea of how this system you described will work, but diagrams will definetly help..

WeirdOne- I'm glad I got a bite Yeah sure, I love fiber optics, and I hadn't really thought of how to make the shaman appear, except a puff of smoke, so yeah, that would work great.

As for the show building--I wanted three scenes (not including the Final Imax Screen Presentation)

First Scene, I was thinking of having the cars enter into a dimly lit cave, with cave paintings, the light fades, but with the help of Fiber Optics, the paintings stay vibrantly bright, while the rest fades to black, soon, more FO's join in, all of different colors, all making different animals on the walls.
"From the very tops of the highest mountains..to the deepest corners of our wetlands, the Spirits live on in, speaking volumes to us, if we will only listen...But recently, there voices have been dampened by our own selfishness and Greed.."

Scene 2
You'd emerge into a 'loop' of sorts for the second scene.. in the middle of the loop would be an AA of the shaman, over a fire, swirls of smoke billowing up into a mass of clouds, a storm is brewing, complete with wind and lighting/thunder effects. Sheets of water will be pouring around the outer rim of the circle, and projectors will use them as water screens (ie fantasmic) to projects scenes of deforestation, sewage dumping, etc...This scene will utilize the EMV tech again, with each rumble of thunder, and each strike of lightining, the car will jostle and shake.


Scene 3:
I'm not quite sure what to do here...I want something having to do with 'A glimmer of hope...' Or something, and I have some vague Ideas running around involving an eagle...I'll post it when I get them better developed.


You know guys, we don't HAVE to go with this Idea..Anyone else have any thoughts? Asia RollerCoaster? African Flume Ride?
