With the addition of the Tusker House character lunch, Animal Kingdom will be losing several meet n greets: Lilo & Stitch, Terk, Jiminy Cricket, and RPW Pocahontas...and the opening character show will be cancelled...all of this starts in December.

They're canceling the opening character show because Tusker House is getting a lunch? Not doubting your information, but I guess I'm missing the connection here.....:shrug:

Chip n Dale, Thumper and Miss Bunny, and Pocahontas (sometimes with Meeko) also meet in Camp Minnie Mickey regularly. Daisy is only there for about an hour a day.

Baloo and King Louie are in Africa and Flik meets somewhere as well.

I'm not a complainer and I have never once gone to guest relations to complain but if they get rid of Jiminy Cricket from Planet Watch I will be in there in a heartbeat telling them what I think about that. Its the only place you can meet him.

Thanks for the update, Drew. This is disappointing, though. Since 2003-2004, when I literally met about 35-40 different characters, it is getting more and more difficult to find many ops outside of character meals and hard ticket events

Seriously, should I even be surprised anymore? Ordinarily, the loss of something as large as a park's opening show, in addition to a dozen or so characters, would come off as pretty drastic, but at this point it seems like we almost should have expected it.

I think I already know the answer....

it still is (Donald, Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy). And i really dislike this since it will also mean the end of the Finding Nemo Dining Package which helped with the show's attendance.

Finally they have figured out that DAK's M&Gs should be characters you think of in the natural world and not some blue alien.

Seriously though, Lilo and Stitch just always seemed an odd choice to me.
