Does this article imply that the Pixie expansion will be the 40th attraction? Coming online 1 year after the rest of the expansion??? That is how I read it.

I got the sense that it would be later than that.

If you reread that little bit, it is saying that the Fantasyland Forest will debut late 2012 (at the end of the 40th), however, WDI already has their eyes on 2013 for PH. They might advertise Fantasyland Forest as the "new" addition for the 40th, although it's opening is a year from it.

So the article is claiming that Dumbo is going to be next to Barnstormer which will have a clown overlay. Should we still go by the blue prints?
It didn't say it was next to Barnstormer, only that it would incorporate it.
And yes....from what I hear, the prints are more accurate than the art/model. However, there have been some further changes, that aren't fully reflected in either of those versions

Thats true. I just figured that where Dumbo is on the blue prints is quite a stretch to have the barnstormer themed to it also. But as you said, if there have been further changes, then maybe it makes more sense.

Imagineering’s creative leaders quickly determined that a bold reimagining of Fantasyland would have a far greater and longer-lasting impact on the Magic Kingdom experience than any one E-ticket attraction could ever hope to make.

If you zoom in on The Barnstormer in the model picture the front car of one of the trains looks like it has a ladder painted on the side... much like...

Has anyone else seen this D23 article?

I got my issue in the mail yesterday. The earlier posts pretty much include all the most important info from the article.

There are a number of illustrations, most of which are artwork that was shown at the Expo presentation. The two that I hadn't seen before (although they might be floating around out there on the 'net somewhere) are close-up photos of the Tremaine Chateau and Sleeping Beauty Cottage models.

I was a bit disappointed to hear that the Barnstormer would be Dumbo-centric and clown-themed, as I don't really care for clowns. I would have preferred a Cheshire Cat-themed coaster for a little more Alice in Wonderland in FL, but I guess the Dumbo-theming makes that part of the expansion more thematically cohesive.

If they add water and fire effects (though real fire effects might be deemed too "intense" for little kids), the re-themed Barnstormer could end up like a mini-Raging Spirits -- which wouldn't be a bad thing, and would redeem the clown theme somewhat.

Scan and post, please? (unless they are the same as the pic from Stitch Kingdom from a couple weeks ago.)

thanks!

I don't have the issue with me at the moment, but in any case I don't have the means to scan -- sorry! I'm sure someone else will soon enough, though.

The pic from Stitch Kingdom is the overhead view of the entire expansion, right? The two model images aren't from that pic -- they're front-on views of the Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty facades. The Tremaine Chateau looks pretty but kind of plain; the Briar Rose Cottage has a nice water feature (sluice) and what looks to be a working waterwheel.

I am completely lost. I have a few questions hopefully you all can help me with. 1. Where does Fanticy Land Forest Start? I mean do you walk past a wall that seperates it from regular fanticy Land from Fanticy Land Forest? If so where is this wall? 2. With no more Mickies Toon Town Fair Where does that put him at for meet and greets? and 3. While all this seems really cool It seems that boys may not like this as much as girls. I say that because it is verry princess heavy and there is not alot of characters that boys connect with in my opinion. Do any of you agree? Thanks for reading.
