Here's high quality version of Disney 100 Years of Wonder logo. I believe it was taken from someone from Hamburga City Server in discord, despite i later edited it on discord to become more like how to logo would be appeared in Hocus Pocus 2.

And here one of creators of the new logo, he is Eddie R, according to his twitter account.

I was taking one of my patented 40 minute showers tonight and this wild idea came into my head about tomorrow's announcements.

First to back track, I had heard somewhere recently that they were thinking of adding a new MK resort that actually connected to MK, similar to Grand Californian in Disneyland. This would connect somewhere in Frontierland.

Second, I had also heard Bobby was looking to make a big splash, something to put him in the Disney history books.

Third, we have had very, VERY few rumors or leaks. Suspiciously few.

My prediction is that the announcement is not a 5th gate but a very large expansion to MK which includes a new resort with direct access to the park. In a way, this makes a lot of sense. MK is merchandise and restaurant heavy so getting capacity up would line their pockets. It would also steal thunder from Epic Universe.

Thoughts?
I think if there was going to be a lot of announcements then Bob C would be at the presentation. He might purposefully give Josh a cruddy hand of cards just to hurt his reputation and knock him down a peg.

I don't think we'll see a new deluxe resort announced because I think they're trying f to figure out where deluxe hotel rooms fit in the future. Cash rates seem ridiculous and Disney has done more to reduce deluxe hotels than adding more. For example in the last 7 years we've seen chunks of Wilderness Lodge and Grand Floridian hotel rooms converted to DVC. Partially because DVC sells well but also because because hotel rooms +$500 +$700 are more difficult to book. Reducing deluxe hotel inventory makes it easier to get to 100% hotel occupancy on what's left, and that helps reduce discounts offered so remaining rooms cN make more cash per night.

Related, if such a thing will exist I don't think the time is now, at least not until they finish the new Polynesian DVC. I think they'll first circle around on Reflections site.

I do agree that Chapek wants to leave some project as his but I don't know if it will come through U.S. parks. He also might hang his hat on new Triton ships + new routes for DCL and then call it a day.

Iger was not at the 2017 panel, it was all Chapek. I mention that because it was perhaps the strongest D23 panel. Maybe the New Fantasyland one, but I think it has been pretty much agreed here 2017 was the heaviest hitter.

Now that said Iger did something similar and scooped a bit of the Galaxy's Edge announcement in an earlier panel. Like Chapek doing the same in Legends.

Honestly guys the fact that nothing has leaked yet means nothing new of substance is getting announced. We would have known months in advance if something was upcoming. Makes sense too since imagineering had been totally gutted with most of the staff either quoting, retiring or getting laid off. They don’t even have he manpower right now to work on major projects on top of that bob chapek like many executives are concerned about a hypothetical recession and want to cut spending to protect (his) bottom line.

tomorrow will mostly be new details on what you saw on the show floor more info about tianas bayou boogaloo, tron opening date, going over cruiseline and all the wonderful new rides going to the Chinese parks and a pat on the back over the Epcot overhaul. Book it.

True but Chapek is not Iger. His position is less secure and he might see Josh as more of a threat to his position.

Agreed. The fact that they lost/pushed so many employees out the door means all these ideas that they have secret giant plans deep in the works is basically impossible. They might announce one or two “new” things, but they’ll probably be very vague because they need to staff up to even do the real development

Eh, there are indeed projects in the works that are not being discussed here. Whether or not they want to announce them today is the question. Can we handle them announcing something that won’t open for three or four years? Will we lose it if a maple tree in the concept art ends up being an oak tree?

Or can we handle another round of D23 announcements that after 1-2 years get scrapped and never to be heard about again? I never liked the over reaching on projects. It happens every time. Announce many big things..get the excitement going.. then drop half of them. I would prefer them to scale down and concentrate on 2-3 major additions that we know will be done. But that’s just me.

What are the ground rules for what constitutes “beating expectations” today?

I’m looking for something domestic, that isn’t a restart of something that previously got cut due to the pandemic and isn’t Avengers Campus related.
Yeah honestly I think becuase expectations are so low, a new e-ticket at WDW would qualify as beating expectations. Don’t really expect further DLR announcements for something new after the Avengers tease.

This is where I'm at as well. To me there's no good reason to announce things unless 99% positive they will happen. When they do lay out everything they hope for, it seems like they do it to prop up attractions. i.e. the presentation of the individual attractions it's strong.

They have the money. They know exactly what they can budget for. Announce what we will get in the next few years. If they decide they can get another 1-3 things in, announce that at a later time. I have a list the size of my arm of things over the last 25 years that was announced never to be heard of again.

Wasn't Pixie Hollow scrapped and replaced with Seven Dwarfs Mine Train? Plans changed but that was a huge upgrade.

I'm actually struggling to think of an example of what you're describing besides the Avengers E-ticket, which wasn't actually "scrapped," it was delayed due to COVID.

And no, deviations from concept art don't count, because concept art is never intended to be architectural drawings.

I also don't care about restaurants or hotels. What actual ATTRACTIONS were announced at something like a D23 and then scrapped?
