Aren't they already in the process of being built? If there is already a significant sunk cost, it would be tough to not proceed unless the are extremely bear-ish on the future of the cruise market. I suppose if they haven't started yet then not building one of them would be plausible.

Also, what is the stats of Lighthouse Point? Is that being actively developed or is it in a holding pattern?
The Wish is actively being built. Almost complete actually. Ships 6 and 7 have not started yet.

For anyone that had gone to these events, and with leaks being made almost real time, does anyone think that someday they could leverage Disney+ as a pay per view type event? I have wondered recently with Disney Pakr Blogs running real time broadcasts of the first Harmonious show and the New Year’s Eve fireworks why wouldn’t D+ want to broadcast these events? The expo and these events seem perfect for D+ either as an additional one time charge like pay per view, or as marketing tool to increase subscriptions.

While going to the expo in person is I am sure an event, with merchandise available and such, I would think there is a market for people who want to watch the panels, but can’t devote 3 days plays away for it

There would presumably be penalties with Meyer Werft to cancel. I personally think it would be extremely short sighted, their cruise line is way too slow to grow, but this is Disney after all.

What's the best case scenario for the parks? Do we get any big announcements ? I think Epic Universe will force the conversation somewhat. My hopeful announcements for the Florida parks:

1) Major new addition to DAK that will include Dinoland attraction replacement project and possibly a new land with a new E-ticket,
2) EPCOT overhaul news. What becomes of the Festival Center. Updates on Moana and Play Pavilion and possibly a new surprise attraction or reimagining such as Poppins or Jouney into Imagination,
3) Hollywood studios may get an announcement about Imagination Coutyard. Maybe a East Coast Pixar Pier, Car Land, or Monsters. Also expect and update in Fantasmic 2.0.
4) Wouldn't expect much at Magic Kingdom. News on Splash refurb and new 100 year show. Wild card would be Stitch replacement and overhaul to the Motor Speedway making them electric.

I assume that we will get a major additions to Animal Kingdom on the next few years, the park doesn't have any new attraction since the open of Pandora and Dinoland needs a major refurb after the close of Primeval Whirl. Also, I hope we receive news of a new nighttime show who replace Rivers of Light. (I think i'm the only one here who in fact loved the show lmao)

I don't expect anything for DHS in this D23, the park get his refreshment very recently, maybe something about Fantasmic but assuming that it's going to be open on the next few weeks/months, i don't think we will receive something else on the expo....

About MK, I hope we get some news about the replacement of Sitch and a new nighttime show, Enchantment really sucks!!

Maybe they could beef up Dinoland with a small "wild mouse" type ride. It would really fit the "Carnival in a Parking Lot" theme. A good name would be something fun, like Mesozoic Spin. Hoping small kids don't get sick on it. Otherwise, it might be called Mesozoic Hurl! Could be the dinos may be mean, even EVIL. I know, let's call it Primeval Whirl! It'll be Magical!

Not super confident that this year is going to be anything major. Obviously they backed away from a bunch of announced projects to cut cash so I can’t see them announcing something major when you didn’t even want to spend money to finish what had already been announced. It’s probably just gonna be one of those years where we get updates and details on stuff that is already announced. Tron, Moana and Play pavilion…

I'm sure it's just a re-recap of what's left to do with Tron and Epcot. Then everyone expects something about Figment only to be sadly disappointed once again...I leave you once again with the infamous reaction...

Let me put it this way - The term "Disney Legend" is used so loosely these days that it basically has no meaning anymore. It's self-aggrandizing poppycock. I mean, Oprah is considered a "Disney Legend", for God's sake. If you worked on a project that is somehow related to Disney, you're eligible.
Their just giving them away to anyone who worked there now...So, in a sense Weird Al Yankovic did work on Milo Murphy's Law let's get him elected for being a Disney Legend..

Well, with all that work he is doing on the Muppets Hall of Presidents makeover I think it is only appropriate he gets considered.

I have also been wondering about their ability to do live broadcasts.. The new plans for Epcot once included some sort of news desk. I was curious if they were to so a daily show from the park.

I was hoping it was reboot of Epcot Magazine the daily evening show that was more like your average daytime talk show...........But, in Epcot..
