Love the Horizons reference in the Pandora posters - Alpha Centauri!

That's not an Epcot reference lmao. Alpha Centauri is a real planet and is also where the avatar films take place it's mentioned at the beginning of the movie.

You are thinking of BRAVO CENTAURI

Fitzgerald was also a driving force behind Time Racers the proposed attraction that would have gutted spaceship earth and turned it into an indoor/outdoor rocket rods clone that's show scenes would have been 100% video screens and projections.

A lot of the really dumb stuff in the late 90s and through the 00s was because of him when he was basically running imagineering until the Iger/Lasseter shake up after the Pixar buyout in 2006.

His work on star tours 2 is also pretty awful (Starspeeder cruising underwater what the...) but I'll let that one slide since Lucas had his fingers all over that as well and even Lasseter scraped a cool mustafar sequence to have that boring wookie section.

BIG EPCOT wink...hopefully.

IF there are plans to do major work at Epcot I would hope a new horizons would be in the works it has alot of lore now and would be a good idea on the old health pavilion plot.
But at the end of the day future world needs some real help.

Come on, you know that TDO doesn't like spending money.

They don't have a choice. Spend money or watch Comcast do it quite well. Ofcourse USF is not a huge threat just yet but you would be blind to say there not growing fast. The resort component that they lacked far behind WDW has been the focus. Saphire falls, vocano bay,old wet n wild plot. They are going balls deep.

I don't. Movie was bad. Go watch it again.

Again, I'm sure the theming will be amazing. But I have no interest in the actual property.
It will be amazing. We've seen the model. Would u have been more interested in the project if the avatar name wasn't attached to it?

Personally I don't need to like an ip in order to appreciate the land. I've never seen avatar but I'm still really excited and the model is stunning. It'll be amazing.

Fitzgerald has received a lot of (legitimate) criticism by Disney fans, particularly for his apparent favor of predominantly video screen based rides (poorly implemented ones mind you). Apparently having a large hand in the likes of Toy Story Mania and Ratatouille. WDW1974 in particular warned last year that Fitzgerald gaining power over EPCOT was definitely not something Disney fans should be excited about...

In his defense, I remember reading that he also worked on Pooh's Hunny Hunt.

I'd submit that while this is true, being critical when warranted might lead to change, but when you are critical 100% of the time, your message has the high potential to be dismissed offhand.

True, but in the real world I operate in a strict meritocracy where you are judged on how many papers/patents you generate along with getting and saving accounts No one cares what I did last year they only care about what I'm doing NOW.

Judged by this standard Today's Disney with the exception of short term financial performance WDW is not up to the standards it set for itself.

So unsurprisingly, the live Action presentation seems to be highly anticipated... already filled and into overflow with 4 hours still before the panel begins.

On twitter, it seems as though they're almost to the point of closing off standby's... it's THAT full for that session.

People don't seem happy about the Sorcerer package either, where you paid $2000 and got into everything early, so all the merchandise is basically gone and they AREN'T restocking.
