My post re: summary of info I found out is still not cleared here and I think its bc of amount of text, so I will flurry post here the details bit by bit..
Ok, just got off the phone, talked to rep and supervisor. FWIW, both very transparent, both showed total empathy to their credit. I returned the same empathy to them, as they were thrown in this situation unfairly as well. I was honest about this, and I do think it helped in getting a few nuggets of info:

-When they got to work this morn, ALL reps (ground floor and supervision) received an 'urgent memo' they were require to digest about the Epcot posters and were issued criteria/responses for what to say to the incoming swarm of angry/frustrated communications.

The responses given are canned/vanilla in nature because it seems several layers up the chain don't even understand what is going on, so its uninformed informing more uninformed. Some care, some don't. (Lunch hour is on the horizon.)

The rep said "the SD site and tech behind it that we need to do our job is STONE AGE, and Disney refuses to solve the constant issues from these posters and other releases".

Both people I talked to said they believe me that the cancelations are arbitrary and untruthful. Person A carting and buying well before Person B should never lose out on a product to B, and this was the biggest points they found a tad ridiculous/distressing tbh.

They also believed me that the arbitrary cancelations are also someone deciding that early orders are bots and that 'they are doing their job to stop bots'. So ridiculous, but to be fair, this was said in agreement with my points.

The supervisor had no intel on the times of final poster sales, for any of the three. He was unclear about who would to boot. He did however, have me email him screen shots of my purchase timestamp (with Joy), the email confirmation timestamp, and then the subsequent cancelation email timestamp. To his credit he said he would escalate this and do what he could to have whoever handles these reevaluate and reorder cancelations and successful orders based on timestamp.

Will update when I hear back, which he said would happen, but who knows. Hope all or at least some of that is helpful.

So was there mention of a solution to all orders being cancelled?

I asked him this, and told him that general theory...that it was a cluster and all were refunded (outside of a few KK), so the posters are just all out there, unaccounted for. He said he was told that is not the case but by the end of our discussion, he seemed to think this could also be reality to an extent.

Thanks wonkabars7, sounds like they know they screwed up but don't know where the problem happened.

As for their script of responses to follow, here's the ever so helpful reply I just got to my very detailed email complaint:

Since the Disney family of websites are all pretty much now single sign on, they should be able to tell those who are bots from those who aren't. I guess my WDW AP, Disney+, and ESPN+ memberships are all signs that I'm a bot. :banghead:

You’d think that SD, a platform whose sole purpose is to make money by selling merch, would receive more TLC and not be based on Stone Age tech so it can continue to sell us stuff and make them money! But I guess that doesn’t make sense at all. Bean counters have it all figured out

Reaffirms what i suspect is that the ShopDisney website just can't handle the volume of requests when something this in demand launches and everyone tries to buy at once.

The system is getting overwhelmed and just can't handle it.

Interesting, well thanks for the information. At least there seems to be some people aware of this cluster.

I do think that ZERO Land or Soarin' successes floating out there on ebay, being celebrated on this forum (or other Disney/poster collecting forums) is significant. I wonder if they are planning a rerelease due to their oversale squashing efforts simply not working.
