Who will be presenting the park panel stuff? Will Iger and/or D'amaro be in attendance? Disney need some front page news to take some of the narrative away from Universal.

Why?

"We've been aware of Universal's plans for a new park for more than a decade. And we have a sophisticated approach to analyzing the needs of all of our businesses and strategically deploying capital." - Bob Iger

All signs point to Disney believing Epic will be nothing more than a pebble thrown into what they think is their Orlando pool.

People saying Disney should have had a response ready for Epic? What response? A new land? Yeah, Tropical Americas would definitely pull headlines away from an entirely new park opening. Nothing Disney could have done would have stolen thunder from what Universal is doing with Epic, so let them have their moment and prepare for once it isn't brand new anymore.

If I was in charge I would have planned and marketed a whole new parks worth of attractions split between the existing theme parks.

And all that still would have paled in the news cycle compared to a brand new theme park. It's silly to attempt to steal their thunder next year. Nothing Disney could announce would trump it. Wait it out, let them have their moment, and let 2027 forward be big years for you.

Im hopeful that this weekend will be a lot of clarifying stuff. Whether it be locations of new lands, or even specifics like the actual ride experience wether it be Encanto or Test Track 3.0.

From @wdwmagics article on the home page I guess we should be expecting park related updates from the expo? 🤔. If so the question is will there be unofficial streams like the expo or only social media posts?

My bets:
Test Track
Downtown Disney (Anaheim) BBQ place
New Cars/Villains art/details
Location confirmation of lands
Ride details (ie ride types and details)
Reflection/Wilderness area hotel update

My Dark Horse: New Tomorrowland was rumored so maybe something like those planters they announced in 2019 lol

I’m never going to complain about another BBQ option, but they did just reopen a country bear BBQ in DL a few days ago…

My bet for D23 is promising to station a Disney ship in South America for at least a one season a year— they seem to have decided to start sprinkling them around the world.

Here is what I hope is on the docket for D23 Brazil park wise:

Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab opening timeframe.

Locations for Avatar at DCA, Monsters and Coco.

To follow up on the above, details revealed on if there will be a second D-ticket attractions at Avatar and Monsters.

Maybe Moana for Magic Kingdom?

I would just rely on social media, even if there is a stream you probably can't understand it unless you know Portuguese.

I'm expecting updates on current projects already announced. I'm betting we get more news on tropical Americas especially. I think Disneyland 70th is very likely as well. I'm hoping we get Disney Starlight updates but I'm not betting on that. I'm sure we'll get one new ride announced somewhere, whether its a retheme or from the ground up although I doubt it would be for wdw.

If we get the 70th this Weekend hopefully it won't look like Budget Cuts!

I'd love for a Starlight Date!!!! So MK is locked in!!! LOL!!!!!
