D23 Brazil

I think it makes about as much sense as any of those countries if not a little more than some as there is currently no representation of South America. It would, of course, depend what they do with it and all indications were that it would have just been retail and dining, which is disappointing and doesn't add that much to WS. On that note, it would also kind of depend on if they felt a Brazilian restaurant could have made money, and I suspect it is a cuisine that isn't too 'exotic' for the mainstream visitors while possibly attracting the large numbers of Brazilian visitors wanting to see the Epcot take on their home country's cuisine.

That said, I think all those countries could potentially make great pavilions. I don't think we'll see any of them in our lifetimes, though.
A traditional Brazilian steakhouse would do extremely well. It would be buffet style where they bring the steaks to your table and carve them onto your plate, while they have other items at the buffet. They could charge high prices and it still be a popular destination. Heck, make it character dining with The Three Caballeros and let Miguel take Donald’s place in Mexico.

Going off yesterday's panel, this is probably largely going to be updates on the previously announced stuff with maybe one surprise. Where Monsters is going is probably the big question answered today.

Don't think they will do any Brazil-specific pandering. If they did it would be Disney Cruises making an expansion down there, with the true wildcards being Brazil pavilion or GFTv2. But they'll probably stick at just making a Brazilian tourist joke.

Was HSM even ever shown in Brazil? Would be a rather deep cut for merch at D23 even if so...
Yes, it was, with good ratings, but the viewer didn't identify with it very much. D even managed to produce an adaptation closer to the reality of Brazilian schools, it was OK but it didn't really stick either.

"Disney Experiences President Josh D'Amaro began his presentation by talking about Walt Disney's travels to Brazil and the importance of José Carioca to Disney."
