Just to be clear, there was no REAL announcement about Mickey and Minnie's house. First, he said that they will be going but Mickey and Minnie will be relocated somewhere else in the Magic Kingdom. A lot of people in the audience showed a lot of disdain for the removal of the houses and kept bringing it up. He did a lot of sidestepping saying that MICKEY and MINNIE won't be going away because he already said the houses WERE going, just no dates yet. And when they announced the last question and it was pertaining to the houses he said that the meet and greets will not be eliminated.

Ah, so we got even less info than I thought. :hammer:

Bandleader Mickey
Horace Horsecollar
Clarabelle Cow
Anastasia, Drizella, and Lady Tremaine
Belle
Gaston
Jiminy
Pinocchio

Besides Gaston and Mickey in his bandleader overlay, all of these characters have appeared at one time or another. Gaston has been out in the past though(MNSSHP 2003). I think they could've done a better job of having some rare or different ones out. Special Events has tons of characters to use but they rarely do.

Ooh can you divulge which ones?

Maybe he got confused?

I mean, they had food there, he was probably distracted. :lookaroun

:ROFLOL:

There was a pin, too. He was satisfied.

No, but seriously, he could just mean that they are moving to MSUSA like we thought, and we are embellishing his comments for news, seeing there is none.

Perhaps, but are they really going to consider the Expo Hall Mickey's and Minnie's houses?

I think he phrased it poorly.

Where it may be obvious that Lou food does provide Lou certain motivation when it comes to the Disney Parks he gets criticized a lot for always having a sunny and rosy attitude towards the Walt Disney Company. Where he usually does put a positive slant on all of Walt Disney World's decisions it is important to remember that those views have an ulterior motive of their own: For years he has been desperately trying to get Walt Disney World to sell his trivia books. If he becomes critical of the current condition, management, or operations it reduces the chances significantly of WDW shops to stock his books.

Honestly, I agree, and I think that he might be working directly for them under the "Social Media" category. How else could he line up these interviews and trips and MOVE to FLA?

Not that that's a bad thing, BTW....I just don't like hearing the same thing over, and over again.

That is why I really do not like his podcast... His Disney can do no wrong and every decision they make is the best decision gets annoying. Also his love of ALL Disney food is kind of scary, I have had better meals for a lot less outside of the parks.. I prefer the podcasts that I listen to be honest. Micecast and Dis Unplugged are perfect examples...

Back to the post. I am glad I did not nor could I attend this event.. Seems like a waste of money. Considering on how vague they were with everything. I do not think the houses are going anywhere, perhaps they will be rethemed.. I hope they do not physically move them to Main Street USA

Agreed in full! I think it is fairly obvious that Lou's slant has changed in recent years. He has become less and less critical and has stopped discussing rumors. He basically is now giving the company line on everything, which disappoints me greatly. It is also obvious that he is getting those awesome interviews for doing it. I still respect him, but he has changed a lot since the whole Social Media thing started.

On top of that, it's becoming more and more clear that Disney is paying off certain big names in the community with information and other incentives to get them to paint a pretty picture of the mouse and to discourage criticism.

He dropped that segment of the show completely.

And they are not going after podcasts only...Webmasters, too. :brick:
