Cutting it too close?

So on the day I go to Magic Kingdom (it opens at 9 am that day with no EMH) I have a reservation for breakfast at 9:10 to Cinderella's Royal Table. I was thinking about trying my best to get a fast pass prior to breakfast (somewhere light buzz light year astro blaster or Winnie the pooh's ride) right before checking in. But I'm worried it may cut us close on time to our reservation and/or make us end up waiting very long for a table.

I know that we may be able to get into the park early because of our reservation, but from what I understand they escort you to the restaurant meaning there would be no way for me to get a fast pass before going to the restaurant that way. I know the first couple hours at the park are pretty big when it comes to getting fast passes and riding rides before it gets packed. So yeah just wondering if it would be a bad idea if I tried to get a fast pass before we headed to our breakfast reservation since we theoretically only have ten minutes to go from the gate to the check-in. (even though they will hold our reservation for an extra 10-15 mins).

Winnie the Pooh and Buzz Lightyear, I would say there really is no need for a fastpass at the beginning of the day. I would try something more like Peter Pan since the line is forever or splash mountain, if it is a hot day. As for when to get them, what I would do is wait until you get to the Castle. While you are waiting to be seated have you or another person who is with you at 9:00 get the fastpasses for a specific attraction and come back. This way you can enjoy your meal without worrying about getting fastpasses.

When the official opening is 9 don't they usually let people in a little before then?

not that I've heard of. The have the opening ceremony about 10 til 9 and that lasts up til 9am. Once the ceremony is done, you're free to enter the park.

Thiink trying for a fastpass before breakfast would be a little tight.

Pooh is just right around the corner from the check-in podium for Cinderella's. You could easily get a fast pass from there and be at the podium in 10 minutes. It's less than a 3 minute walk.

Also, you could send one person to check-in and have someone else go grab the passes.

Don't worry....it will be great!

They usually suggest that you check in 10 to 15 minutes before your ressie. That would bring you to before 9 anyway. I know when we have had 9am ressies at Crystal Palace, we usually get seated immediately at 9 - if not before.

Think you might have to play this one by ear - and see how it plays out.

They do let people with a reservation in early, at least I know they do for Crystal Palace. But, you should not have any problem getting a fast pass and getting back, they aren't going to give your table away.

My suggestion is go to you ADR, get seated and once you are in there have a member of your party RUN to the attraction that you want fast passes for and come back. I did that once when I had an early ADR for Crystal Palace and I didn't have any problem.

That's a GREAT idea. (seriously no sarcasm). I think I'm gonna do that. I'm assuming it's pretty easy to get in and back out of the dining room @ Cinderella's Royal Table. I think the main fast pass i want is Winnie the pooh ride.
