First of all there is no reason to be a jerk.

Second of all if YOU had any ability to read you would see that he said it would now be open 1 hour after park open open until park close instead of the current 8:45 to park close.
http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions...and-shops-to-be-reduced-from-this-weekend.htm

He never said anything was changing with the closing time. In fact he very clearly showed it being the same as always, park close.

When I worked retail, we didn't close out our department if there was a customer still on the floor. I am sure that if there are 30-40 shoppers still in Mouse Gears at closing, especially if they have merchandise in their hands, the store ain't closing....

They could do what they do during the MK parties. Lock the doors, have one exit and let the customers finish that are inside, while not letting any others in.

I've been calling for that for years. I remember being at the Up greet in 09 and they had 4 attendants working it. At Disneyland 2-3 attendants can cover all of Town Square which can have 6 separate lineups
Right if they needed to make cuts (And honestly I don't think they do) these would be the kind of cuts you would need to make. Don't cut crowd control cast.

Correct. Also of interest is that on August 30th and 31st, there is no MSEP at all because the park closes at 9pm. Celebrate the Magic is also scheduled to perform only once each night too.

Budget cuts are very real and a large problem, don't get me wrong. But will everyone please stop looking super far ahead at the schedules? Most entertainment offerings only have schedules a few weeks out. And park hours/parade/spectaculars are only finalized about a month out (and even then are always subject to change if crowds end up higher than planned). The decision of which nights will have two Fantasmics or two MSEPs, etc was only just decided for March about a week ago (usually the second-to-last Friday of the preceding month). Anything past April is honestly irrelevant when trying to look at Disney calendars for signs of the budget cuts. And using the September schedule to try and determine the fate of MSEP is ridiculous. There are practically no dates for that at all after August 29th. And there still's a whole week+ in July that doesn't have times listed for MSEP or even Wishes. It doesn't mean anything right now.

Was at Magic Kingdom yesterday, menu items are also being removed as part of these cuts. We were told at the Colombia Harbor House that the Lobster Mac and Cheese (one of our favorites) was removed from the menu to cut costs.

We can't not look that far ahead when Disney has us scheduling ADRs at 180 days. If Disney wants us to be able to plan that far ahead, they need to give us the information to do so.

I don''t understand why you accuse Disneyland Paris to being responsible for these budgets cuts ! Disneyland Paris, although still artificially deficit, is in a situation rather favorable. The decrease in the number of visitors has not been catastrophic! Average spending per visitor has never been as high whereas prices have not increased! The 2016 results will not be good because of renovations but 2017 will be an exceptional year! TWDC is aware of that, a clearing began for a new Disney hotel, they are they are increasing capacity of access roads etc.
One has only to go to the park to realize: restaurants are now offering quality food, the shows are back, it's been years that we have not seen so many characters in Disneyland Park, the maintenance is finally realized !

WDW just made over $3.3mil on race entries alone this weekend for the Princess 1/2 Marathon. Let them take that and leave everything else alone.

Sounds like those CMs are disgruntled over how they've been treated. Can't blame them though.
It's okay to be disgruntled and share your views with coworkers backstage, not with guests on stage. Surely they still teach that in Traditionslite.

We were at the MK yesterday, and saw a first: the line of guests waiting in line to get into guest relations extended out the door, across the porch, down the steps, across the sidewalk, and out into the street. Have not personally seen that before, and that was at 11:00 am. Don't know why, and didn't really care, but we both noticed this and mentioned it to each other.

That really is not very unusual.

As our trip quickly approaches, I have noticed a change to hours today. On march 8th MK was only scheduled to be open until 10pm, it is now extended until 11pm.

A glimmer of hope....
