No not unless the P&R division is sold to someone who cares OLC or Hershend or even Shendi come to mind immediately
I hope your right with this and I hope it happens soon but Bob just said on his call that they are moderating attendance with park cost so i don't know what their goals are any more. Walt is rolling around in his grave right now.

Moderating park attendance with cost? meaning more expensive so less people can afford it, and less value for those that can, right?
Whatever happened to the 5 cent cup of coffee?

From today's Q2 earnings report, for those who didn't think Paris was in anyway involved.

Lower operating income at our international operations was due to higher pre-opening expenses at Shanghai Disney Resort, increased operating costs at Disneyland Paris and lower volume at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, partially offset by higher guest spending at Disneyland Paris.

Hubby's comment after watching the video ride through was..."so the US is paying for the rest of the world while we get ignored. Sounds about right".
Not just the US, WDW is full of tourists from Latin America, some save for years to take their kids there once, some get to go yearly, I know my parents saved up and took us every other year so I've seen the park grow, heck, I remember when Big Thunder opened or my first time at Epcot, etc.
Basically, you have one whole continent paying for these new parks and better rides, and no TLC being shown, but we do get new shopping malls(Disney Springs).....

Nemo and Gran Fiesta being the key examples of screens done wrong, lol.

I'm going to disagree with you here:

Grand Fiesta: The screens are "old school" and not really intended to be "Harry Potter"-immersive.

Nemo, on the other hand, does the fish-in-the-tank thing really well. It's not the problem with the ride - the ride is the problem with the ride. The fish-in-tank are kind of cool. It being a non-cohesive Nemo ride sucks.

"NEMO... NEMO!!! NEMO!!! NEMO!!" - I get it.. Nemo's lost and I don't care.

For Nemo I was talking about the rest of the ride like the EAC scene :hungover:

Daaaang. Finally saw a full ride through video of Shanghai's Pirates. Absolutely mind blowing. I can't imagine in person. Now THAT'S screen-based attraction done right.
I actually wonder if some of them are big screen 4k projectors (like the part of the sunken ships on top of you).
Kinda reminds me of the wide scenes in Gringott's.

But the paris case was all related to the terrorist attack, wasnt it?

I think they missed a great opportunity to expand Nemo or make the Nemo chars take you in to a class by Prof Manta. Who teaches you about the seas.
But no.. we got a crappy retelling of the movie.
Something that was also feared of froztrom..
