Cuts coming to every area of parks and resorts - thanks to Shanghai and Paris

The TSL cuts will happen. And then some. I gather the discussion was that Disney projects routinely go over budget anyway and TSL shouldn't cost anywhere near $500m, so the thought was that by reigning its budget back in out of the stratosphere, fewer cuts would be necessary elsewhere. I think that's the right choice. If I had to pick a location for cuts in the DHS remodel, it would be in the Pop Century of the park, not the Animal Kingdom Lodge of the park.

Nope - This is just the first cut of many in TSL because the expense structure has not changed by time it's done TSL will be lucky to have fake shrubbery hiding the wheels of the leased mobile carnie rides.

While spending is out of control, it's clear some significant theming was cut that was probably needed for TSL, so I'd rather the cuts have come from somewhere else. We already are given the bare minimum.
Where is that other place you'd like to cuts to come from? Star Wars Land is largely off-limits. Lower quality new shows? Keep Beauty and the Beast for another two decades? Cut Phase 3 altogether?

It'll still be more compelling than Dino-Rama or Storybook Circus.

I see what you're saying. But we shouldn't even have cuts to begin with but we do so I guess I'd rather it be that than Phase 3 and other needed enhancements.

We shouldn't have a cheap TSL over a more elaborate Pixar Place to begin with either. Just because it's for kids doesn't mean it shouldn't be made to wow older guests as well. See rides like Pirates, Mansion, etc.

Exactly right. You "WOW" the adults and the kids will be won over as well.. I keep using this example but, children will have as much fun with a refrigerator box as they will on some attractions. I also don't know any children that have a couple grand to pay for a vacation...

I don't have that kind of money either. Total cost of my recent weekend getaway: around $140. Only $33 to Disney ;)

Ok, love the Tron Ride, we need that in Futureworld. Peter Pan, it just speaks volumes to the amount of things they could do with some digital projection on the current rides.
Pirates...WOW, best use of animatronics and screens I have seen yet, I prefer the original storyline though.

If he is not a Cast Member, then he is a Guest, in which case, yeah he needs to leave when asked unless he has specifically been given permission to stay longer. No sympathy from me. Maybe he should go to the doctor and have that bruised ego looked at.

I'm scared to even enter this discussion, but our policy at Magic Kingdom has always been to gradually clear the lands. Guests were always welcome to take their time leaving the lands, within reason. Shops on Main Street stay open an hour past closing and guests are welcome to linger during that time in that area and the Hub.

So, I get what he's saying. If people are being kicked out right at closing, that's definitely a new change.
