Customized Maps

Is there a super secret trick to getting the "Customized Maps" link on the WDW website to work? I want to put one in the welcome basket I'm making my kids but it just keeps making me log into my account over and over.

Actually I think there is something wrong with the customized maps section on the DW website. Last year I ordered them twice. This past couple weeks I keep trying and trying and it is doing the same thing to me as it is doing to you....Give them 30 days and it should be fixed i hope!

I didn't have any trouble when I ordered mine a few weeks ago. :( Sorry you're having issues! Maybe you should report the issue to the website?

try logging in to the disney site somewhere else in the site... then navigate to the maps area. that might help avoid some trap you are in.

Well it's still not working for me. I just tried. Every time you click on let's get started so you can actually customize them and such...it just keeps resetting the page and saying "try again" - over it! :(

Have you tried using a different browser, or updating your plugins?

I had a similar problem while trying to order maps at the end of last year. We would customize the maps and then the website would say I am not old enough to order maps. So I would go into the account section and try to update my birthday and would I would hit update, it would say fail. Still haven't had maps printed for our last trip :(

Also, if you do get it to work, good luck receiving the actual maps. A couple of years back we ordered them (the application worked) but they never came in the mail. We corresponded with the "map makers" and were told that it takes a while but alas our trip came and went with no maps. But then the next year we tried it and it did work, although the maps came slow/late.

If and when you do get them, they are pretty cool. If I were a parent, I would probably do them on my own and just hope they come in the mail for a nice surprise for the kids. They come in a neat envelope too. Kinda like a treasure map.

I had the same trouble last summer. If I remember right I had trouble progressing on to the next map in order to complete the site. It was finicky but after a couple of times I figured our which buttons to hit in the right order. It's way worth it because the maps were awesome and we still have them. I think ours came in a month or so so do them early if you can. Even if they come late they are still cool and can be a great reminder of the trip. Good luck.

I would also recommend cleaning out your cache and then logging back in. I have found that sometimes the cookies they have already attached to your computer interferes with certain areas of their website. This is coming from a non-technical person, so it may just be me.
