Do I spy a pink extension cord and a pink colored work light?
I worked for a construction related company that bought/painted a lot of company equipment pink as a theft deterent. The lights and cord are probably just that.Do I spy a pink extension cord and a pink colored work light?

I know what you're talking about, but why didn't they also paint the cages? And why the bulbs?
I just don't understand the pink at all, ugh!
Pink? Pink? What's wrong with pink?
Seems you got a pink kink in your think!

There would be NO good reason to paint a light bulb, and this kind of temp lighting isn't valuable enough to pay someone to paint it for theft prevention. Survey says... "Over-spray". :ROFLOL:

I thought about that too, but why didn't the bulb cage get sprayed also? :lookaroun
Pssh - details.
Maybe they put the cages on after they sprayed, since they're supposed to be yellow.
Seems like a lot of forethought went into something that was done accidentally.
Have you ever tried to see with a lightbulb that has been painted over? Here are the two possible scenarios I could come up with:
A) We're painting the new roof structure pink, and the construction walls don't go all the way up, so we'll get pink cable for our stringer lights, and we'll get pink light bulbs. Unfortunately, they don't sell pink bulb cages, so we'll spend a lot of extra money trying to camouflage our temporary lights but ruin it with yellow cages.
B) Ok, we're ready to spray paint the roof, let's go. OH CRAP, our temporary lights are still up. Well, at least take the cages off because they need to be yellow on the next job (so they can be easily seen up in the dark ceiling space of projects) - we'll just put them back after we paint. We don't care about the bulbs since we'll be replacing them by the next job anyway, and we need to see what we're doing.
If these are my two options, I choose B

Seems to me they would have taken the bulbs out also if they going to the trouble of removing the cages. At least they would be able to see now.
Well, I'm out of ideas
