Cruising solo?

Not sure if this has been asked before (I was too lazy to search) but has anyone else cruised solo before?

I'm thinking about Alaska in 2016 and was wondering how much more expensive it is solo. I've been to WDW solo numerous times and have no problem traveling alone.

Basically, when you cruise solo you pay the equivalent of 2 guests in a stateroom. I've never done it but that's not to say I never would. I think I just have too many Disney/cruise/travel happy folks near-n-dear to me. LOL!

I wish Mom & dad will only cruise together now and SOMEone (me) has to dog-sit while they're gone. Plus, neither of them have any desire to do an Alaskan Cruise.

My first cruise was solo. I had a blast! I would do it again in a heartbeat, and I may be doing so summer 2015

Too soon - I'm going to WDW in October and it's just not in the budget. I want to go to Alaska next.
