1st trip to Disney w/ my 3 year old daughter & she loves princesses (especially Cinderella). I know the castle provides great atmosphere and all, but is it really worth 2 table service credits?? My daughter is only interested in the interaction with cinderella, not the "ambience" of the castle. We are also doing the Norway princess breakfast, so she'll see lots of princesses there (hopefully). I hear CRT is great, but is it that much better than 1900 Park to warrant 2 table service credits? I wanted to see if anyone can compare CRT and 1900 Park Fare regarding the character interaction, and overall experience. Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!

I would also like to know this. I am bringing my neice and we are doing the 1900 for dinner and it is only because the breakfast was all booked.

We ate at 1900 Park Fare for dinner, for just that reason. I didn't want to waste two credits! We got to meet Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming, and Suzy and Perla, the mice. The buffet was excellent - try the strawberry soup! :slurp: I believe they have the other princesses as well at CRT for breakfast, but if your goal is to meet Cinderella, I'd go with the Park Fare. We're going there for breakfast this fall with Mary Poppins/Alice & the Mad Hatter. :sohappy:

Welcome to the boards!

When are you going? 1900 Park fare is either about to undergo, or has already started to undergo, a rehab/refurb. I don't think they're scheduled to be completed before September. Meanwhile, they're having buffet character meals in the Grand Floridian Cafe, but I don't know of anyone who's tried it, and I don't know if it feels like something special or something shoehorned where it doesn't belong.

If you don't think CRT is worth 2 credits (and I don't blame you), you do have the option of paying for that meal out of pocket. Especially if it's breakfast. Then, with that extra credit, you could conceivably try another signature eatery, or, since your credits are based on each night of your stay, depending on what time of the day you split for home, that extra meal credit could come in handy...

1900 Park Fare has a nice atmosphere, but as someone said it is going to be undergoing rehab soon. We have been to CRT twice for breakfast and just love it. We prefer to pay for that meal out of pocket so that we have another table credit to use somewhere else. The character interaction there is good. You only get a moment with Cinderella and the fairy godmother always seems cranky. But the other princesses that we have seen have really gone out of their way to talk to the kids. Also, the wait staff here is excellent and really in character. The kids are also really excited with the wands they get. My daughter carried around all three of the wands we got the rest of the day in MK. If you only want to spend the money once, it is really something that is worth at least trying.

CRT is very expensive, even for breakfast because photos are now included. Just something to think about if you're planning to pay out of pocket instead of DDP credits. For us, the whole idea of the DDP was to get expensive meals like CRT without worrying about the cost. We had no problem with running out of credits too soon either.
