Cricut!!

I haven't been around much lately on the boards but I just have to share that I got a cricut for Christmas!!! Which of course means I will be posting so many layouts very soon I'm sure, so be ready! lol Well, suppose I should go get ready for the family to begin arriving, but I just had to share...I am so excited to use it finally!!!

Forgot to add, I also got the Mickey and Friends cartridge and the Jasmine font as well! I hope some of you on here will be able to help me out, I'm not really too sure how to use everything to maximize all I can do with it. I know there is a thread already so I'll have to have a peek soon!

i got a gift card and i thought about getting one, but i think i am going to take the cheap way out. i go to several crops with friends and one fellow 'booker has one and she lets us use it!

looking forward to seeing the new layouts everyone makes this new year, and i plan on posting mine, as well. you all are great inspirations.

i have used the cricut, and i'm sure if you have any questions, they will be answered very shortly on here.

Yay - I got one too! It was a complete surprise from DH :kiss:

I haven't had a chance to try it yet, we have been to the theatre and then been playing with the children, but I hope to get it going today! :sohappy:

wow, how lucky you two are! that is a wonderful gift.

i got a wide format printer from santa (rofl). so i can't wait to start doing layouts.

now i need to find the time. i am hoping to get something done this weekend, at least that is my goal. i would like to have a lazy day, where i stay in my new jammies and play with scrapbooking and print a 12x12. but i do think i need photo paper.

Congrats on a wonderful Christmas gift! I got my Expression for Christmas as well...Fortunately or unfortunately depending on your perspective, my husband was out of town when the package came...and it was printed right on the box what it was

Haven't heard of the Design Studio before, what is it?

It is software for the Cricut that hooks up by USB cable to your computer. It allows you to weld images together, rotate them, resize them and a lot more. I am still getting into mine to see all it has to offer. Our Walmart has it in stock for around $65.

One other thing I forgot to add is that you can only use images from Cricut Cartridges you own. You cannot import any other images or fonts and you must physically own the cartridges you are using.
