Crazy WDW stories....let's hear 'em!

I was in the Rose & Crown on a very crowded night, enjoying a martini or three. On the other end of the bar was a large crowd of very boisterous people. At one point it looked like one of them had slipped and fallen, but when they pulled this guy up it was clear that he was totally plastered. He schlumped down over the bar, passed out, and then woke up enough to spray over the bar, the bartenders, the pile of clean glasses - just about everywhere. His friends grabbed him and dragged him out, leaving the mess to be cleaned up by a Disney hasmat team (a couple of sanitation workers who looked very unhappy to be there). My bartender told me that he'd been there for 12 years and had seen that maybe 4 times, so fortunately it doesn't happen often.

I know we're used to this sort of service with Disney but it still is sort of "crazy" when you think of it. My dad didn't take off his hat on Splash Mountain in 1995. It eventually flew off and he lost it. Gone. No big deal, it was a John Deere-style hat. But he reported it anyway on the way out at City Hall and two weeks later guess what we got in the mail? Same thing happened to my wife in 2009. She left her sunglasses either in the Tiki Room or on Pirates. Honestly, we couldn't remember. But they were pretty generic sunglasses and I never thought we'd see them again. Except we did. I know that is just supposed to be normal service for Disney but I still find it amazing.

I do have a Disneyland crazy story, but more of a coincidence. My wife (girlfriend) at the time and I were living in Duvall, Wa at the time that the person was struck and killed by a cleat in Disneyland. We went a week after the incident. We didn't know the people, but some of our friends did. They were worried for us when we did the DL trip. The crazy part was the entire doc area was repaired but the Columbia was put away for continued investigations. We did tell people and CM we were from Duvall, and we would always be asked "Did you know the guy?"

My crazy Disney World story happened in the summer of 2017, my family and I were watching the Captain Jack Sparrow Pirate Tutorial in Adventure-land, they have two have actor who play him one is younger than the other, so when we watched the show, the younger one was performing that day so I was watching the show and near the end they have people who want to join Captain Jack Sparrow's crew can come up, I was watching the kids go up when Captain Jack Sparrow walked in front of me and told me to go up on the stage so I do. Later on that day we go back to the show and find the younger actor acting and he blows a kiss to me, and again when kids can go up, he told me "You don't have a choice. You have to go up their." I walked up and during the oath he looks in my eyes and says "And we shall not go over the limit of scrolls you can get." I started to laugh. The next day was our last day so my mom and I watched the last show of the day and the older one was acting that day (in the past the older one has hit on my mom), and near the end he kissed my hand and my mom's hand.

All of my CM stories are 2nd hand from a friend who worked at the world in '97. One of the craziest thing she ever had seen, was when she was with a friend on a day off, spending a day at MGM Studios. I think her friend's family was in town and they all were at the studios. They were seated at a sit down, I think the '50's dinner. Next to the table she and company were sitting, was a family of four, Ubiquitous dad, mom, girl and boy. The little boy no more than 10 is picking at his food. The dad, telling his son "Look this cost a lot of money, you need to eat" His reply " Dad, I don't feel good" His dad's response "you haven't felt, good, since we got here, just eat, and we can go enjoy the rest of the day" His son, eats a few bites, asks if he can go to the bathroom, gets up and projectile vomits all over his family's table, the table she was sitting at and like the Exorcist on wheels vomiting every 10 steps to the bathroom. The restaurant manager comes out as fast as he could, and apologizes to all of those involved. He comps all the meals, gets fast passes out for everyone, gets them set up with a new dining option, great Magic Repair to a meal ruined I would say.
That was very kind of the manager to do that.

Not crazy crazy but during one of our trips, it wasn't 30 minutes after we got off Space Mountain that we heard that a wreck happened on the ride. We asked around what had happened, and apparently, the train car the people were in decided not to slow down and stop at the end, but rammed into the other stopped car at the exit.

My "crazy" story is a conversation I overheard between two female CMs (on college program) waiting at the front of the queue at Space Mountain. It's crazy to me because, while it is certainly a reflection of real-life, I never expected to hear these types of private conversations discussed in public at WDW by CMs.

Suffice it to say, the CMs' conversation revolved around CM#1 asking CM#2 why she didn't come hang out with her the night before. CM#2 explained it was because her boyfriend decided to come over and spend time with her. A few more details of the boyfriend's visit were given, with more details implied. No foul language was used or anything overly descriptive, but come on, this is Disney World and it was obvious what they were discussing. Nothing wrong with it in general, but something of such an adult nature, should be left for discussions elsewhere.

I broke the steering wheel on the speedway when I was 10 when riding with my dad as soon as we left the station. We were crashing back and forth the whole time. It was hilarious!

Two trips ago we rode ToT one day and a 10 or 11 year old boy rode with us who was clearly terrified of the ride before we actually rode it and his mother assured him it would be fine.
He sat behind us and literally cried and screamed "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIIIIIIEEEEEEEE" while the ride continually dropped.
It was not fine as his mother told him it would be and wouldn't speak to her when the ride was over!

Omg this seriously might have been my son and I!!!!!

Recent WDW story to date: Last Thurs. at AK, one parent let kid do #1 in a bottle, in the bushes near the queue of NRJ. In. The. Bushes. Near. The. Queue. Of. NRJ. Should I had placed FP+ for that ride weeks earlier as Silver AP Passholder, I wouldn't had told you that story.

Last June, the day before my Silver AP was supposed to be blocked out (access dates were then extended to last June 29) a mother changed a girl's Pull-Up in the middle of the standby queue at Space Mtn. Said daughter was wearing a dress - no half-slip, no shorts, JUST HER PULL-UP UNDERNEATH. The things people in FP+ queues sometimes miss, eh?

Let me start by saying that my wife runs a zoo in the town we live in, and that she USED to be a smoker. Since has quit.

We were leaving AK and she had a 'smokers spot' just outside the exit before gift shop she used to sit on a curb to have a smoke.
There was a woman and her two daughters (ages 10-12?) were on the next curb as the mom smoked.
All of a sudden the two girls started screaming and stomping on something as the mom looked away, I couldn't see what it was, but my wife did.....see got up and told them in a pretty loud stern voice to STOP...(ok, she yelled kinda)

It was a little tiny snake. A baby. about the width of a pencil, and about 6 inches long. Harmless snake...not poisonous. A cast member and a few others came over to make sure it was all ok...the snake a little shaken, managed to limp-slither away and all was ok.

As we walked to the buses, we ended up walking behind the two girls and their mom at a slight distance, and that when I noticed they were all three dressed in 'save the wildlife' shirts, hats and backpacks.

My brother had the Navy Destroyer hat my other brother was serving on, and it flew off on one of the rides. We walked to lost and found. He filled out a form and went back home. A few weeks later My brother got his hat back in the mail from Disney. If you do loose something just fill out a form at guest services. Apparently they find lost items all the time and they do try to match them up to lost forms. It does help if you are specific enough on the description and the item is easily discernible from others.

I have managed to leave a lot of money there over the course of the week or so. Do you suppose if I put in a claim they will send me say the $20K that I have unwillingly left on the premises over the years? I really miss it and it had a lot of sentimental value to me. I can even identify it. They were pieces of paper with the only pictures of Washington Lincoln, Hamilton, Jackson, Grant and Franklin that I had. I really cherished my collection.

I was there during Hurricane Matthew in 2016. Everyone back home was frantic, texting me if I’m hunkered down, etc. I’m like, nooooo, I’m at Epcot there’s only a 5 minute wait for Soarin’ and the parks aren’t closed yet! 😂

This is a bizarre story....On a flight home back in 2013 or so, these two horrible demon brothers about 9 or so were fighting (literally rolling around in the floor punching each other) as we were lined up to board. I had a bad feeling that these turds were going to be seated near us, sure enough they were right behind us 😩 They were with their Grandparents, who were abused by these brats all week and could not control them at all. They annoyed our entire row so bad that all 3 of us complained to the flight attendants before we even left the gate! They kept punching the tv screens which were on the back of our seat backs. They whined, cried, cursed at their Grandparents, it was awful. Eventually, the kids got so bad that when they drinks came around we made sure the 💩 turds tray tables were down and we slammed ourselves back into our seats as hard as we could and spilled their soda all over them, and jammed them with the tray tables. Surprisingly, they were rather quiet the rest of the flight. 😈 Here’s where it gets weird!!
4 years later I’m working in an orthodontist office, and these twin boys come in and their behavior was so awful, their mother was out to lunch...it was obvious that she was responsible for creating them. I kept having the feeling knew them somehow. IT WAS THE SAME KIDS as in the flight. I remember them so clearly, there is no doubt about it. Talk about crazy! 🤣I pray I never have to see them again (I don’t work at that office anymore) because twice in my life was too much!

It's a small world after all isn't it? lol I went from feeling anger and sympathy once I started reading your story to pure laughter by the end! That's pretty funny and crazy that those demon twins popped up again! Was one of their names by any chance Damien? :p:joyfull:

And I would have done the same thing during Matthew. Take advantage of those empty parks!

I’m glad you enjoyed that crazy story. I know it sounds unbelievable that I saw them those years later, but stranger things have happened!! And I’ll see you in the parks during the next Hurricane😆 we can close the place down! 💦☔🌊

When my Dad, Mom, and I went to Disney's Magic Kingdom this summer (summer of 2018), we were in line for Splash Mountain and their was a little boy and he was getting very antsy, and the dad was getting annoyed and embarrassed. We were going by the last fast-pass check and in the corner of my eye I saw the little boy run up to my mom (who had her back to him) and he slapped her on her butt and the father quickly grabbed his son and he as more embarrassed than ever and my mom and I were just quietly laughing.

I missed my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and family reunion ( that never happened again) due to a trip I made with a girlfriend at the time almost a year out in reservations but was only told about the anniversary less than a month out.
She was a waste of time in retrospect and we were very different in our political and other views, besides. That was indeed crazy.
