Pre-Trip Crazy lunatic might be taking a solo trip

Some dialogue from the Phil and Buddy household:

Me: So, you said when there were five new things open, we can go back.

Monster: BLAAAHHHHHGGGHHHHFFHGFDSTREEJJHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Me: What was that?

Monster: There aren't five new things open, so forget it!

Me: I want a divorce.

Monster:
You can't have a divorce because we are not even married! (side note - he will not marry me because I have a zillion dollars in debt that he is afraid of inheriting if I get hit by a bus.)

Me: Okay whatever, but there are enough new attractions there that I get to go again.

Monster: Have fun!

Me: Well maybe I'll take a solo trip.

Monster: Well, maybe you should!

Me: You don't care about slinky dog coaster or Toy Story Land?

Monster: No, because I am not five years old!

Me: GRRRRRRRRRR..............

Hmmmm......so I am seriously thinking of a brief (3 night?) solo trip. Have never done that before, but if it happens, October, maybe?

Anyone wanna hang out with a crazy loon? :)

Aww, thanks, but I don't know how entertaining I would be on a solo trip. Especially my first solo trip. And all the crazy people talk to Phil and not me. You know, that crazy old woman who wanted to dance with him at EPCOT and crazy guy at Victoria Falls who was married with a wife in bed upstairs but was sexually harassing Philmonster to the point that he left and went to bed. I'm not saying I wouldn't fall into Bay Lake or something, but don't hold your breath. ;)
Oh you’ll find an adventure or two along the way.

I spent 3 of 4 weeks down there on my own solo in April May And not my first solo trip.

You’re never really alone at WDW.
I arrived before my friends on my last trip (and will again on this upcoming trip). Eating lunch at the bar at Raglan Road wasn’t really so lonely. The bartender kept asking people around me if they were there to celebrate my birthday parade 😅 There were some moments at the parks that I had some solo time, and you get to do things on your own time. Go where you want, eat where you want, make friends at bars. It’s not so bad.

I love travelling with my adult kids, we have so much fun as none of us has GROWN-UP.
Still, doing what you want, when you want and changing you plans at will is real nice too.
Go @BuddyThomas your one of the most outgoing people you'd enjoy yourself and you have Phil's blessing and likely relief.

I think Finland has a bar made completely of ice.

As does Gaylord's in Orlando Florida for the winter season.

They had one of those in NYC just down the block from my office until recently, when they shut down. Never went. Total tourist trap:

I recall a year or two ago, there was one of those bars (not sure if it was the same company though) in Boston. It also shut down in due course. Because we tend to have so much cold, snow and ice up here, a bar like that was almost redundant--when you'd just walk outside and experience the same thing?! :hilarious:

Be honest, your title for this trip report is all about Phil Monster and his trip.

Your trip report should be, Buddy and his extra fabulous trip around the World. Your first pic should be you dressed in your Michael PJs from Halloween holding a Duffy bear and a drink. :)
LOL. Those Michael PJ's are completely destroyed after that trip when I wore them. Who knew you aren't supposed to wear Footie Pajamas around the Magic Kingdom when it is 150 degrees out? ;)

I was just on a "Fans of Iceland" website reading about their latest controversy: a new gondola system that will not have heat!!! Anyway, I came across a member in the message boards who was contemplating taking a solo trip this fall. I believe his user ID was @PhilMonster. It sounds like his is a big fan of Iceland!!! Hmmm. ;)
