Even though I'm now fully vaccinated, I still wear a mask, socially distance and wash my hands often. I work at a local library. Starting next week, we'll no longer have to quarantine items that are coming back. Even though there's evidence that COVID doesn't come from surfaces, I'm still diligent about cleaning my station, the self check outs and computers between uses.

I really think all the extra cleaning is what kept flu cases so low this last year.

Covid cases are declining again. Could this be the long-awaited vaccine decline?
I hope so. Our local numbers have been all over the place...single digits, then back up to upper 20s for a few days, then teens, then single digits again. It's been like this for a few weeks.

ETA: I also worry though, as going by what I've seen of other parents at the schools, I wouldn't be surprised if we have a high number of anti-vaxxers in town.

My niece who is 22 just went to get her first one.
I'm going to ask my nephew this weekend if he plans to get one as the rest of the family has and he smokes so he really should consider getting it. He's 19.
From what I'm seeing on the news younger people in their 20's and early 30's are deciding not to get it.
I certainly hope they start changing their minds because they are the ones that tend to want to gather the most.
Around her a local leader suggested that stadiums can be packed for concerts and games as long as everyone in attendance is vaccinated. Maybe that will motivate these younger people. You want to go to that concert, fair, festival... anything fun that you missed out of last year? Then get vaccinated.

It doesn’t take a college degree to watch the CDC Director today and know the JnJ vaccine will be back tomorrow.
Apparently 3 people died from the JnJ blood clots in America. I had not heard that. Hmmm...

Yeah I knew about one anyways.
Basically a few days ago they suggested only giving it to the male population.
Although I can imagine the trouble that might crop up from that among the gender inclusive/non gender specific community.

I imagine you just put a warning, then, and let each patient decide with input from their doctor.

Just my personal opinion—at present, when it is pretty easy to get a Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, I would not get JnJ (or AZ). 3 deaths out of 6 million when there are other options? And these were in relatively young people.

Where the hell is NovaVax?!
