I was just listening to a new country song (why? because I like country music).

It's by Flynnville Train and it's called "Last Good Time" and there's a Disney - reference in it.

It says, "Get your Supercalifragilistic-Freak on"

Let's hear it for Country Music in general!

Woot...talk about it y'all

It is people music...it's music for ALL of the people!

It's for people in a country :lookaroun

Country music can be very depressing or very uplifting and happy...it all depends on which direction you play it. :D

You mean if you play the song backwards, the guy's girlfriend comes back, his dog comes back to life and he ends up sober? :p

OOOH!!!! Garth rocks my socks

The stalls are clean, the horses fed, they say she's grounded 'til she's dead, but here he comes around the bend, slowin' down she's jumpin' in, HEY MOM YOUR DAUGHTER'S GONE, and there they go again!

Close. Sitting at my desk wearing a black shirt and khakis listening to...office chatter.

Love would be a strong word, but I'm not immune to its charm. Just the other day I heard a delightful song about a young man selling turnips who is approached by a young lady asking for directions back to the interstate. Instead of being direct, he offers her directions to a country store with an old Coca Cola sign and a sweet old lady who makes wonderful sweet tea, before telling her the fork in front of the store leads both to the interstate or back to his turnip stand. Naturally, after questioning himself for not trying to make a move, he finds that a few minutes later she chose the return route over the highway.

You just don't get that kind of narrative detail from Aerosmith or U2. :)

I absolutely cannot stand country music. :hurl:

The only country song I will listen to is Leann Rimes "Remember When" on my Happiest Celebration on Earth CD set.

That genre in general just annoys the crap out of me for some reason. It's all so overdramatic.
