Does anyone think that something should be done with this? I hate to see old attractions go just as much as anyone. But every time i have gone in there the last few years, there have been no crowds. I think that atleast a refurb should be done.

I like the Country Bear Jamboree exactly the way it is. I love saying all the lines and singing along with the whole show.

Country Bear Jamboree attendance is VERY high. You must have gone either early, late, or on a really off-season day.

Original classic - MK would never be the same without it. :)

The Country Bear Jamboree attendance at Disneyland was very low and it was closed and replaced with Pooh. The CBJ attendance at WDW is very poor as well. The only reason why CBJ still runs at WDW is because they have not, as yet, decided upon a replacement.

In reality, very few visitors enjoy this old show.

Wow, Woody, I'm surprised you don't have the data list to back this one up!

Mind if I post it?? :brick:

I seriously think I would cry if they took out CBJ. It is a must-see everytime we go to the park and I can't get on the plane home unless I see it :) I'm not sure why people say it's not busy, because everytime I have gone (which is a lot!) it is always full and people waiting to go in. I hope they keep this MK classic!

Aaargh. I hope they don't replace it anytime soon.
It was closed during my first WDW visit in January -
and I want to see it so badly!

how long is forever?
how soon is now or never?

The Country Bears are great and one of the few attractions that give Frontierland a life of its own. If the crowds are low then Disney should promote the attraction not remove it. For years when you would see any material promoting WDW they would find a way to work the Bears in – but – in later years the bears have all but gone, I’m not even sure they were mention on the latest DVD.

The point I make to people who want to replace old attractions (especially ones as time-less as the Bears) is that the next generation has yet to see it and every 10 years the old rides will be new again.

CBJ is closed for a few days in November (just before Thanksgiving) and January (just after New Years) to change to the Christmas/original shows.

And once again, it's not empty!!!

Just my personal opinion...

I think the sound quality leaves a LOT to be desired. It's extremely difficult to hear when the audience is more than half the capacity of the theatre.

Last August when we were there, the sound kept fading in and out. Maybe its time for an upgrade to a decent sound system.

Since last year, some of the speakers have been taken out and fixed. Teddi Barra has been given the most significant improvement, and all sound now should be decent.

It also matters where you sit in the theatre. . . but at this point, as the bears have been put on a new digital system, the sound should be better than it was before.

I agree - bring in state of the art stuff. Just don't touch the original "show!" :)

We were at the world when word of the fate of the DL CBJ was starting to spread. We (My family) were heart-sick to think something might happen to our beloved show. CBJ is one of the few rides that would cause me to stop going to Disney if they were to remove it. (Small Word, POTC, CBJ).
