Rumor Country Bear Jamboree to be Replaced by Toy Story Show?

WondersOfLife

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
The project itself is a rumor, the location of the project is another rumor.

Fact - a woodys roundup show has already been designed and built and is operating at the horseshoe type venue in Paris.

Fact - Disney wants to add attractions for the 50th.

So it does seem likely that this is a real proposal. But it seems more likely to be put into the horseshoe as a way of re-opening an opening day attraction (that’s my opinion only).
That's exactly what I said

And even then, Hoop is probably going to be moved. It was mentioned in the new resort thread that a new Pioneer Hall is to follow at some point.

Wow. This is new to me and good to hear. Makes relocating the bears more likely in what could be a multiuse venue. Smart.

Armchair Imagineering here only of course, but the more I think about Country Bar Jamboree (posted in jest yesterday), the more I like the idea. It'd be a way to preserve / honor classic attractions while appealing to Millennials/Gen-X's love for themed entertainment and specialty cocktails.

The same could be said for Tiki Room or other attractions supposedly on the chopping block. These F&B venues could be added to resorts, instead of at the MK where alcohol is still(?) a touchy subject. Let's be honest, all on-property resorts could use a Trader Sam's equivalent.

While sit-down dinning venues are forced to encourage quick table turnover, I'd imagine WDW lounges would rather you to stay for a few more drinks. It's no surprise that Oga's Cantina has become a breakout star of SW:GE (the $75 Rancor Tooth souvenir beer flight board has already sold-out for the season per WDW*NT).

I for one am ready to boldly enter the age of hyper-themed Disney resort bars.

Because then they would be building a new attraction which increases operating costs. By replacing something existing with something they think will draw more crowds they increase capacity without increases cost.
Shouldn’t be happening in this era, unless the attraction is temporary. They should put it in the Magic Eye Theater, that sounds better :)

It’s open? That’s Awesome! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
It's still open but you have to stop by City Hall when the park opens to get a reservation. Hop in the DeLorean. #1986.

It went from reservations suggested to mostly closed or status unknown for almost 2 decades now? Incredible.
