Rumor Country Bear Jamboree to be Replaced by Toy Story Show?

I didn't know that the original show reopened.

I don't know how I missed this? I assumed it was just open for snacks and to fill up capacity under the guise as a meet and greet attraction.

Are the western shows continuous?
Thanks Peter!
There is no show unfortunately. It’s simply a table service restaurant.

They'll be upgrading DH with an offering of a can of tuna with a pull top. It will be styled Western Sushi and count as signature dining.

I'm not sure if CBJ is terribly offensive to the country folk they are poking fun at. Generally speaking, that crowd is not so obsessed over PC things. My mother-in law comes from a country background and it's one of her favorite attractions. I know that's just a personal anecdote but I bet there are many folks from that background that feel the same way she does.

Not a very good one at that. It's a shame. That space deserves better.
It is a shame. Just like the Diamond Horseshoe sat vacant, the Adventureland Veranda was vacant for nearly 20 years.

Please correct me. Thank you!

At least the Veranda was reopened. Perhaps without all the wilds of the jungle but a lesser themed "tropical / boring" homogenized Crystal Palace type oasis.

The Country Bears are the last fleeting tumbleweed of Political Incorectness in the Wild West and that's why it has to stay in MK.

Fun in laughing of a large animatronic figure?

Yes, especially!

It's funny to joke about but in all honesty from what I remember as a kid the food was Aunt Pollys type servings and nothing much more.

People didn't go to the Diamond Horseshoe for the food if I reckon, it was the 45 minute action/comedy/romance packed Wally Boag style show that you you've rarely seen West of the mighty Mississippi.

I do think the Western sushi would be a hit with the no brainers.

I would say the vast majority of people that its poking fun at have no problem at all with it. Id think the PC crowd would have to find a safe space soon after the show as to not go all triggered.

No! only a certain segment of the baby boomers ruined the world

Exactly...............and boy did they ever ruin it! It wasn't my parents, but many of their peers. Set things up for the way they are today with the post-millennials. Laid the groundwork.................................but back to the point.

So 41 pages of it and all I am getting is nothing but rumors about Tiki and Bears. None of it makes sense to me as to why as they are both small theatres that offer a charming show that goes back to the time of Walt. So what is it? Are they actually considering removing these or is it just rubbish? If so, why? Both fit perfectly into their lands, both are integral to the theming of their lands. If this is the case you are getting less and less influence of Walt Disney in WDW and that isn't a good thing.

Here is an example of why these attractions are important. In 1973 my grandparents were in their 60s and they took a trip to Florida with my dad who was in his 20s. They stopped off at the Magic Kingdom one of those days. They liked it. One thing that always made my grandpa laugh was Country Bear Jamboree. For the same reason it was sentimental to my dad as well. I was 2 when my grandpa died but any time I see that show I always feel a bit of a connection to him.

That's the thing, you can't buy that sort of love of an attraction. What makes Disney so unique is that you can have tons of these stories such as "this was my grandpa's favorite attraction" where you can't do that even in a place like Universal because they rip out their original attractions. This is partly why most of us who are on this WDW board still prefer Disneyland over the Magic Kingdom, because they maintain their core pieces a lot better than MK. Last I checked MK still had about 17 opening day attractions but that is just the point, these are still the core pieces of the park (or the ones that opened up shortly after). There is a blessing of space in that park so you should be able to have the old with the new.

One of the greatest things about these attractions is that to this day Walt's imagination trumps anyone else's since 1966...................combined. This is why they can't think of original ideas anymore, or build original attractions. Which is all the more important to preserve the old ones.

I am Southern born and raised and love the Country Bears. Nothing offensive about it. Remember, Hee-Haw was popular in the South for decades and it was even more ridiculous than CBJ.

You'd have a pretty miserable life if you considered CBJ offensive. I can only imagine the things on a day to day basis that could upset a person if something as purposely campy and "aw shucks" as CBJ triggered them. Here is a hint....................you can't modernize Frontierland, that is sort of the point of it. No one wants to ride a boat from 2011, they want to ride the Liberty Belle Riverboat.

From my perspective, no line uttered during the Country Bear Jamboree reaches the level of "if I had a black light this place would look like a Jackson Pollock painting," from Guardians of the Galaxy. There may be innuendos, like those during the scene with Teddi Berra, but there is no mention of seminal fluid covering the walls.

Star Lord is coming to Epcot. The Country Bears are certainly more age-appropriate for children in the early and middle childhood stages of development than Peter Quill.

Is that line in the films or Mission Breakout?
