Rumor Country Bear Jamboree to be Replaced by Toy Story Show?

Go scan the rumor threads on this or any other of the 4 other boards I have little doubt you belong to...

It’s pretty widespread. Is this rookie school, dude?

Did I say anything here was crazy or egregious? No. But the dumber fish go for that bait on faux rumors all the time.

I exaggerate and I’m never right more than 75% of the time...I admit that and always have. But hyperbole isn’t a sauce I use for my cooking.

You even got the kid lurking/liking your internet Disney muscle snit...come on, now!! Make magic, not war, baby.

It's. Widespread. Because. There. Is. Truth. Behind. It.

My God, if you don't want to read rumors and they bother you THIS MUCH, then PLEASE go explore the other sections of this site. Nearly every single thing you post is some variation of the same thing. It's exhausting.

I think I'm finally just going to use the ignore function for the first time in my nearly 20 years here because I truly don't think I can deal with your posts any more.

For the record, this is the only WDW site that I'm a member of. Nice assumption, though. Like literally 80% of your ridiculous posts.

Yes but no rides, shows, or parade floats recently.

*Most* of the 80s.
I did come across this video from Disneyland's Christmas Parade that appeared to had been recorded sometime between 1978-1983. They had a small section dedicated to Robin Hood featuring Maid Marian and the other animals. We also see Uncle Remus and Brer Rabbit at one point (Pre-Splash Mountain).

This has always puzzled me. Bambi is an undeniable classic-yet it’s like a Where’s Waldo situation trying to find any representation in the parks.
Bambi is a difficult M&G character to pull off. Plus, it doesn't have an iconic song the general public really remembers. All most people remember is his mom getting killed; not exactly something to promote in the park.

I remember Thumper and Flower were meetable characters starting in the early 1960s but both vanished sometime in the late 1970s (Possibly around 1979). Thumper did return to being meetable around 2006 (When Bambi 2 came out) but Flower hasn't been seen in 40 years.

From old pictures I've seen, I think the M&G characters were prominent at one point. They seemed to go the way of the 3 Little Pigs, Huey/Dewey/Louie, and the cast of Pinocchio.

I remember a hearing fascinating story about Disney's fascination with Thumper for decades. They actually tried giving him a spinoff animated series back in the 1980s but never came through. They did create the "Disney Bunnies" brand sometime in the mid 2000s which was dedicated to Thumper's family that was mainly a book series.

Wow, never knew there was an Uncle Remus portrayed in the parks...and the little Brer Rabbit is so cute!

Most of the rest of the parade was similar/same as a similar one in the Magic Kingdom my family saw during an '83 trip (Herbie, Dalmations, Robin Hood, Alice, Dumbo, all the Christmas stuff). Don't think the live dogs in a pound paddy wagon would make it into a Disney parade these days either!

I remember characters from Robin Hood were quite prevalent in the MK during my childhood.

Ignore away...if you can’t take a different opinion then that’s the way to go.

You’re taking an opinion on years of observation too personally. It’s not the goal of a discussion board.

2021 looks massive. People delaying for RotR, MAMRR, and Rat. Everyone knows it will be tough to access GE for the first few months. All the new E tickets opening after RotR will help in theory.

I think this is deliberate phasing by the mouse to make things tolerable.
That doesn’t answer the question at all...and indeed wasn’t even about what I asked. Thanks for the input though...

Somebody ask Red Sox the question, please? I’m probably blocked for not supporting every Disney decision absolutely. I’m such a slow learner.

Here's one of the few good quality photos I could find of Thumper and Flower together taken sometime in 1979.

It would be interesting to see percentages of seats for this and Tiki. Saw video of Buzz with literally only two riders visible throughout. I have no doubt ops is looking at these stats.
During the event The only attractions we saw that had any waits were Space Mountain, PoTC, Jungle Cruise, and Peter Pan. Everything else was walk on/in.

I'm not reading every single post here and just chiming in on what I think the conversation is about. But they covered the soft bookings info a bit on The Dis you tube show this week. Check around the 19 minute mark.

TY

I have to say: I usually hate these podcasts...but this one is ok.

Until of course they compared Disney tickets to a broadway show or how annual passes compare to hoppers. That’s wrong and always will be. An annual pass isn’t supposed to be 3 times the cost of the week.

Tickets are sold cheap longterm because it guarantees higher profit ancillary spending...not as a multiplier of a base ticket.

It’s sad these guys bother to be “experts” and miss the fundamentals so completely.

I do remember free roaming characters as prevalent and relatively unnoticed.

No queue lines or autograph books then...or precooked fastpass/dining schedules down to the minute
It's one of the reasons why I enjoy looking at old WDW footage from the 1970s when the resort was new brand new. Just to see how much fun guests was having and the types of interactions the characters used to do before the days of "Waiting in line".

Lol what opinion have you offered? I have no problem with differing opinions. Your posts are not that.
Everything I post is an opinion unless it is stated as a historical fact.

I was actually explaining my reasoning for a long held opinion on rumor skeptisicm. It’s not that tough. And what a frequent weboard reaction is (which you can deny happens but that is not true - not an opinion)...

It’s for review...or not...acceptance...or disagreement/dismissal.

I wasn’t aware you would have flashed on this...but I could have saved it and wish I would have now.

It’s five o’clock somewhere.
