Could it Be? (EO returning to EPCOT)

TDO wouldn't spend a dime to bring EO back to EPCOT, no matter what the numbers for DL are. And if they did, we'd be stuck with it for at least 10-15 years.

I saw EO a few weeks ago while in Disneyland. The park was PACKED and even still, EO was literally a walk-on. And as fun as it was to see it again, ya know what? It still totally sucked. Just not a good movie and not a quality Disney attraction. It wasn't then and it isn't now. The 3D isn't really put to good use and it was terribly blurry, which also was something I had remembered from back in the day. Surprised to see it has not been improved at all.

As an old-schooler it's definitely a cool thing to have an oldie return to the park, but in this case, I'd honestly say EO is probably better left locked up in a vault somewhere. If Disney wants to bring back Magic Journeys though, I'd welcome it with open arms!!!!
Now, I would not mind a return of magic journeys.

What I don't get, is that they changed the movie almost every three years (averaging it) the first fifteen years of the park. Then HISTA went in.....and nothing.

What's really sad to me is that all these years later, Terminator 3D is still the best 3D show at any of the parks. (IMO) Another instance of Disney feeling content to allow Universal to outdo them and not do anything about it for 10+ years now... just like Spidey (again IMO) and if I was a betting man, I'd say Harry Potter too.

Dear Buddha, I hope they keep Magic Journeys locked up in whatever Ecto-containment unit they were able to trap it in. That show is just freaky as perdition. :dazzle:

No way! It totally deserves to be included on some "Disney 3-D" Blu-ray release.

I never saw any footage of it until I saw Martin's Fantasyland history vids and was amazed out how strange it was. You'd never see such a slow and abstract piece of film work from the mouse again, least not for a theme park.

OK, I could live with a DVD. In fact, that would be kind of cool: "Weird Disney World." It could be combined with other acid trips like Pink Elephants on Parade and Heffalumps & Woozles.

I actually have a muddled sense of repulsed admiration for that little film. It's just way too trippy and dated to be revived in the parks, in my view.
