Learn what a fact is troll.
Pot. Meet kettle.
Learn what a fact is troll.
That is true, and in turn they continue to show they only care about their California fans.....thus why WDW gets the second rate treatment.
Learn what a fact is troll.
Apparently, it's something you agreed to. Perhaps you should consider that before you start the name-calling (and knowing the rules of this forum might help you out as well).
I agree with the statment, not with the assement that is the reason WHY THEY CANT HAVE TWO CONVENTIONS.
So, now you agree with the fact? I should accept the troll comment as your way of having fun now?

It is a statement, not a fact. I agree with the statement that Disney thinks it fits their business model, it is not a fact that they CANT have two conventions. Well seeing as you and others have called me a troll because i dont agree with you. You have not posted facts and all you have done is attacked for no reason. So i feel my troll comment was because of the way you were acting. I did nothing and you and others called me a troll.
Trollololol, the "troll" just trolled the Troll!
I can't believe you guys haven't figured out the answer yet.
It's like this:
Disney execs hate us.
They know that if they hold a D23 convention in CA and not FL, it'll annoy someone soooo much that they'll complain and argue about it on a fan forum.
The likelihood of it being our forum was high, and here we are.
/off topic
On topic, if this is true that there are big things coming, I really hope it brings around a "Disney Park Renaissance". To me, the magic of the parks has really disappeared in the recent years. Not from growing older, but from the parks going downhill.
A Disney Park Renaissance would be awesome, do something like what they did where they brought Soarin over to WDW, bring some excitement to all the parks.
Show where I called you a troll...
...much bigger scale...
Like:
MK - FLE
Epcot - new countries, WOL replacement, JII revert/replacement
DHS - Something to the scale of Carsland. Preferably movie studio related.
DAK - EE full fix, expansion - maybe land?
DTD - open-ended
Maybe a new park??
THAT would be a Disney Park Renaissance :sohappy:
I feel so bad because even as a former castmember i get most of these abbreviations mixed up.
What does WOL and JII stand for?
Wonders
Of
Life
Journey
Into
Imagination
I've actually learned those from here, and to be honest, I still only know a few
Another thread full of arguments, with the same common denominator. Perhaps someone should step away from the keyboard for a while.
so anyway... this rumor about the fantasy land expansion only being the beginning? would this mean more expansion to the rest of magic kingdom? or more expansions to the other parks?
I just can't stay away from this topic for some reason.
All of the convention facilities combined on WDW property would only equal a fraction of the space available at the Anaheim Convention Center, the largest convention center on the West Coast. If D23 Expo moved to Orlando, it would have to be held at the massive Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando.
How do you propose getting 40,000 people per day back and forth from WDW property to the OCCC? If the average tour bus seats 40 people, it would take a fleet of 2,500 buses making four round trips per day to move all of those folks back and forth. It would be a logistical nightmare, and that's even assuming you could have just one bus collection point on WDW property at the Transportation and Ticket Center, and one drop off location at the OCCC. I'm not even sure that's possible, or if Orlando regional government would allow Disney to bring in every spare bus from the Eastern Seaboard to be used on local streets and freeways for the event. And what if the Expo grew over time to 50,000 or 60,000? Another 1,000 buses brought in from the Midwest to supplement the original fleet of 2,500? The invasion of Normandy would look like childs play in comparison.
Unless D23 Expo shrinks considerably to a size of 5,000 people or less, and uses just a fifth of the floor space it used in the Anaheim Convention Center in '09, D23 Expo is staying in Anaheim for good. This map was used in the D23 thread, but it might help clarify things for folks who have never been to Anaheim and don't understand how everything is within a 20 minute walk of everything else. In a late summer climate free of humidity and rain, no less.
I just went to Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, and it had 35,000 in attendance and they handled it exceedingly well all things considered. The Orange County Convention Center was built to handle conventions of that size, as are the roads surrounding it. Celebration didn't even fill half the convention center.
Also, it would be silly to think that all those people would stay on Disney property. As they don't/can't stay at Disneyland for D23. WDW is very well suited for this convention.
