Don't run off.
I think what the "great job" was is how quickly he/she got the head back on and the other characters came to the rescue to surround and limit the exposure.
Don't gooooooo.
No one should listen to me anyway. I'm cranky because I have to read about quasi-experimental research and calculate chi-squares
What you posted is fine.
I was told that some parts of the costume have plastic for shape...sorry...
Also,I do think that the performer did a good job.
Can someone describe the chin strap? What I'm thinking is an elastic strap that could come off if the performer fell.
Oh, wow. Do you have a link to these?
Aha! Took me a few searches, but it was from a blog on the Orlando Sentinel site:

Yes, while he possibly did have a chin strap on when he fell it looks like Tiggers arm got him the right way and helped popped it off a little bit more. So you have to look at it another way

I dunno', I think Atta83 has got something there. I don't think either of you can prove it one way or the other, but I certainly wouldn't discredit her theory. Likewise, there's the chance that you may be right, too...When worn properly, the chinstraps are tight enough that a bump in the back of the head wouldn't have been able to do that. Friendofafriend is spot on when he says that some of the characters' friends are just too lazy to do things as they should... looks like it's time for this tweedle to find a new friend ;-)

Either way, I'm just impressed that there aren't more videos like this online. The fact that Disney can keep their employees all professional and whatnot considering how many CMs are in how many parks, I would've figured this thread would be flooded by them by now.
The only ones I've ever seen are when Pluto chased a kid :lookaroun, that REALLY inappropriate one from Paris, and some weird fight between Frollo from Hunchback and Phil from Hercules.

Thank you for seeing my point!
Yes you could be wearing all your head gear properly and have the chinstrap tight enough but when you possibly dont fit the costume correctly (ie: shoulders to narrow, neck to short, ect) you could possibly have problems.
It looks like, from the video, that their foot got stuck in the trolley track for a brief second and that is what caused them to fall. Even chin straps for football helmets can come undone if hit hard enough or in just the right angle.

I did say it was possible that the costume could have malfunctioned. I just don't think its very likely based on my years of experience in the field.
In that case its a management issue. The performer should be disapproved in the costume before a situation like this occurs.

I too have had many years of expierience in the field myself.
well we could keep going back and forth debating whether it was or wasn't the performers fault, but we'll really never know....
so how bout instead I just post this wardrobe malfunction that's not so "magic-ruining" A friend of mine was hanging out with Beast this day and I laughed so hard when he told me about this...
