All in on Dinosaur not being touched. Nothing Ever Happens.

You don't just delay the closure a whole year for no reason. They're definitely reevaluating investing in Jones after the film bombed and the game underperformed.

Just gonna put it in this post, this isn't some le epic insider knowledge or whatever like that, just gut feeling and an easy way to keep Disney happy with cutting funds and make fans happy it's staying until they go back to hating it.

Praying to the budget cut god. The closure delay IS suspicious to me though.
Is it a delay though? They said from the beginning it would be done in phases “so you have plenty of time to ride Dinosaur one more time.” And then it was part of their big 2025 graphic that it’s the last year to ride it.

Seems like it has been the plan from the beginning.

I would like to mention I got a very unusual survey sent out on the night Dino-Rama closed, asking what Animal Kingdom attractions (rides, Boneyard, shows, trails) I considered a personal favorite, iconic ("the park would not be the same without this attraction"), immersive, boring, outdated, and/or insensitive.

It seemed really dumb to me to send that out on the night you're closing half a land and common sense should tell you the fans of said land are out in full force. Even if that's not the only night it's being sent out I would think that would skew things. Then again, Disney doesn't seem to think the land has fans, so...

(It also, for some reason, included TriceraTop Spin, seemingly just as a kick in the pants.)

Given my obsessive visiting record, I'm also fairly confidant it was a new survey, probably started with a month left on Rama's clock at most.

All that said,

if we are talking about rides getting budget cut:
  • Muppetvision replacement is such a minor thing that would re-use main theatre
  • Would give Disney a TON of positive PR (we listened!)
  • Already said the “creative conversations” thing
  • They have been VERY quiet about mippetvision closing
I know no way this happens but just throwing it out there if we are genuinely suggesting stuff gets canned. They could cancel something and get people to applaud.

Moreover, I’m pretty sure the concept art showed the theater would be totally untouched by the door coaster itself. Maybe.

I’m being honest here:
Disney decided to not close dinosaur, but still closing muppetvision would be one of the DUMBEST moves in a long time.

-Indiana Jones IP popularity waning
-Asking guests what rides they dont want to be removed
-Phased closure of area

I'm getting at something... but I also don't want to get my hopes up

Then again, Indy is an IP, and IPs have synergy and sell merch. Dinosaur has no ip. If dinosaur survives Indy somehow, NO WAY it is forever.

My #SaveDinosaur campaign has just been given hope!

We need additions, not replacements. Increase that capacity the park desperately needs and should get.

With that being said.....#SaveDinosaur and let's go get the dino.
