to stop being stupid and just go get my shot.
Im just going to highlight your own quote. Nothing we do in life is risk free, however I’m sure you can tell by now that it is becoming more and more evident that not being vaccinated is more dangerous then getting vaccinated. Stop thinking that there is a risk free option, start thinking of risk aversion. You clearly know this subconsciously otherwise you wouldn’t have typed what you typed.

You sound like your stuck overthinking it. Consider asking a friend to come along with you and just get it done, preferably today. You’ll feel so much better once you make a decision (either way) and get off the fence. Do you really think adverse events are being suppressed? Have you seen any media in this country the news blows up anytime one is announced. You can also take comfort in knowing that if nothing happens to you 2 months after your last shot it is nearly impossible anything will because of how the vaccine works.

You can ask! I’m an open book.

The answer is simple- I’m fearful if I vaxx and I’m fearful if I don’t. I’ve done a lot of research on the vaccine and watched a lot of webinars by doctors who say that the vaccine can cause <insert applicable things>. These are not anti vaxx doctors (in fact both doctors I watch have their vaccine). But they do think information is being withheld in the statistics of adverse events after the mRNA jab. A British dr came on Dr Been’s show and said that women are having all types of bad reactions.

I don’t necessarily believe that… I do have severe health anxiety and at this point I feel like I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t. I have this vision of dying in my sleep after jab no.2 and my kids wake up to find me or something.

I have pcos which makes me high risk for catching covid and having a poor outcome. I really feel stuck.

I’ve contacted my gyn and fertility dr who both say to get the shot. So now I’m working through my own stuff (like some RN friends who have pcos and are refusing the shot but won’t tell me why so they don’t ‘sway’ my choice 🙄) and trying to gather the courage to stop being stupid and just go get my shot.
If your doctors told you to get the shot you should. I know... easier said than done. I can tell you I'm 10 months post first round. No issues here outside of sore arm. I just gave my arm again on Friday for a booster test to see if they help or not. Like the first round, I am 99% sure I got the real deal. Or those placebos stink to high heaven lol. Though a friend of mine was in the trial and got placebo and said it didn't hurt.

No vaccine has any side effects pop up past 6-8 weeks. I'm fine.

I have severe GAD so I get it. Remember the webinars give really the worst case scenario. Schedule with a doctor or clinic, so you know if something did happen, they will be there to help. The chance of needing it? Slim to none. Significantly less and I mean waaaaaaay less (like one in a billion) than what likely would happen if you were sick with covid.

I'm very glad to talk privately, emotionally hold hands.... whatever it takes. I suggest talking with your therapist as well if you have one, and lovingly I'll say that dying in your sleep after vaccination isn't a thing. Your kids won't find you. All said, imagine how traumatizing it would be for them to see you hospitalized with covid. Not being dramatic, but watching my mom sick and in the hospital with a terminal disease was traumatic and I was a teen,

Be that great role model for your kids. Just buck up, mask up, and walk in to a clinic and do it! I know you can!

There is no wow factor here. I don’t contribute to the spread or mutations because I don’t go out. We get groceries delivered. I’m still doing my part. We don’t see family or friends… my choices have consequences.

I’ll get the vaccine eventually… I’m not anti vaxx but definitely need to work through this myself. Right now, the anxiety I would go through after getting jabbed is not worth it for me… I prefer masks currently.

soooo I stay home 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you. What a kind answer. Although there was a child who died in his sleep recently after his second shot due to heart inflammation it caused… that’s where that fear came from.

I know the vaccine is the answer. I just need to do it.

Those kind of events are so rare though and often not even linked to the vaccines. That's what you need to understand.

Your comment about a British doctor saying women have been having "all kinds of bad reactions" is pure misinformation. Nothing else. I can tell you from living here that nothing like that has been reported from any reputable sources.

What?

So you force your entire family to never leave the house ?

You just said you are risk.

There most certainly is a wow here.

Your children need you.

They are more important than any fear in this world.

Do it for them.

Do it today.

There have been more cases of people who were staying home catching COVID than any serious outcome due to the vaccines.

If the world was filled with people like you we wouldn’t even be in this mess anymore.

So much compassion and empathy.

Only problem is most people are not like you.

Most people don’t even have a friend or family member like you.

I don’t think we can compassion our way out of this.

Just not enough to go around.

We need a large stick or a large carrot or preferably both.

That being said people like you make an enormous impact on everyone around them.

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

Thank you for being wonderful.

That was not related. Doctors here even stated that enlargement and such would not happen with myocarditis like that. He, unfortunately, like a few I've known over the years had a heart issue that was unknown. A friend of mine lost her spouse at 40 to similar and two families I am close to as well as teens. Trying to connect when there is no connection isn't smart.

Like saying me, as a 44yo, losing an easy ability to have kids is related. We know it's not... we know I was going through perimenopause for a couple years now. Sadly life happens.

I challenge you today - this week at least - reach out to someone in person or via phone (glad to give you my cell truly) and do it with the person being there to talk you down if needed. You can do this! I'm off for a few hours but I know you can find the strength to do it!

Take the shot or take the risk of getting Covid19 and the risks it gives. However, leave those of us who did the right thing alone. Don't take any action that limits us. Require employers to make those who refuse the shot to remain home and if they work in as n industry that interacts with others so be it, take the shot or be fired with no extra unemployment benefits. Let people be free to decide for themselves but also make sure they take responsibility for their actions. Take the shot or leave society, they can't have everything. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF.

Let's make a deal. I won't tell you that you have to take the vaccine if you don't want to but you don't tell me (who was fully vaccinated as of 4/22) to wear an annoying mask to protect you who has elected not to protect yourself. Let's add that you will stop demanding that the State government implement things to protect you at the expense of others. YOU are being the biggest part of the problem. Not me and not Ron Desantis.

Vaccine passports aren't allowed, fine. Can't outright demand to see you vaccination status, fine. But what everybody, especially private businesses, can do is make it so annoying to not prove your status that it's easier to just get the vaccine. I want to sit inside for the restaurant, you need to prove your vaccinated. Otherwise we sit you outside. If it's raining, not our fault, you just need to prove to us you can be in you with the cool kids. Treat it like the cruises that I've heard about. You want to take part in the fun indoor activities, you need to prove you can.

I wonder if Florida law would prohibit the restaurant scenario? The law prohibits business from denying entry to a person based on vaccination status, would that also extend to deny entry to a certain part of the business?

I get confused by this - when does a company's private rights to allow entry come into play? Does that fall under Florida law - they can't discriminate against the unvaccinated?

Is there a law that prevents businesses from stating if you want to enter our building without a mask, you need to prove your vaccination status? Otherwise you still have to wear your mask?

We go outside and take walks on the trail. We also were going places (farms, berry picking, gardens) before masks were dropped.

my husband works at Disney and still wears 2 masks, a shield, and showers when he gets home. But you are 100% right he could still bring it home 😞

You’re not understanding, I take full responsibility for my choices (or lack thereof) but my husband still works and can bring it home (delta is carried by vaccinated people too) to the kids. If I get covid, I brought it on myself and hopefully won’t die for it- but my kids have no choice .

And I disagree. Having a governor who won’t mitigate things to possibly save children’s lives… is part of the problem.

And that's why people who can get vaccinated should be vaccinated. End of story.

Like it or not, you are part of the problem. It's just the truth. Not trying to being harsh.
