How do you mean? I think the simplest thing is to require masks for everyone again. I agree it would be suicide for such a big business, I’m just saying since vaccine passports are banned… if this gets out of control (and with a positivity of 11.7% we are almost there) they will have to do something.
I’m hoping the Union speaks up because even though cast members have to sign an agreement that they’ll continue to wear masks if they’re unvaccinated, there’s no accountability for it. If you ‘think’ someone is unvaccinated but not wearing a mask, there’s nowhere to report it, etc

Never said a thing about masks. Your example though, is a very bad idea for Disney. Punishing people for having kids is not a wise thing to do.

When I say I HATE living in Florida…DeSantis has said he’ll never shut things down again… it’s so frustrating living in a state where I feel like half of the people out there don’t care whether my kids (too young to vaxx) live or die.

It’s so simple to put a piece of cloth over your face. So freakin simple.

The cdc has failed the under 12 population. And their silence on this is deafening. Florida is just a cesspool right now. Cases are sharply increasing everyday, we can only view the numbers weekly, and the highest up people in government are pretending like it doesn’t exist or that it’s over.

CDC has stated what unvaxxed should do. This is not a CDC failure IMO

If that ever happens one can predict the test will not cheap. When I was flying I was going through a Northeast airport a few months ago where rapid covid tests were being promoted at and given at Terminal C for the sale price of $200 per person

If a test before entry is what's needed then so be it, but that would really suck. Covid tests are a grim experience and it'd be a logistical nightmare, not to mention costing a fair whack too. Vaccine passports are such an ideal (long-term temporary - I'm thinking a few years) solution, but they will never happen

With no mitigation efforts at all? Is that what it’s come to that I can’t take my kids out because I don’t want them to catch the Delta variant which is dangerous for young children? We haven’t been going out anyway because I’m not vaccinated yet so we just stay home. But once I’m vaccinated I planned on beginning to return to life as normal. I’m not gonna feel comfortable taking my kids out like this though.

Genuine question - are most countries locking down again? I think we only hear about 10/20 MEDCs consistently in the news, but I'm not sure if the other 100-odd countries around the world are still locking down or not.

Well… I guess not probably. We only hear of the UK or Ireland or something I can’t actually remember everything but I do know that China is beginning to take precautions again because I work with families in China. And I guess locking down would be extreme but I would say that most countries are likely reinstating masks and social distancing. The unfortunate part is how divided the United States is and how each state can implement their own measures and said someone like me who feels that masks and social distancing should be reinstated in Florida probably will not be because of the way that Florida operates.

And I guess locking down would be extreme but I would say that most countries are likely reinstating masks and social distancing. But New York and New Jersey as other Northeast states is doing much better higher vaccinations than Florida, California, and other states's lower vaccinations.

CDC did not drop masks, they dropped masks AND social distancing.

Those two mitigation’s combined only slowed the spread when the virus was 300% less contagious.

Cases are up because we are back together in large groups combined with Delta.

Masks protect others not you.

That’s what I’ve heard over and over.

Great so let’s bring back the mitigation that the non vaccinated will

A: refuse to follow altogether

B: If forced to follow will do everything they can to skirt the rule by not covering their face properly

C: Have the equivalent of a piece of toilet paper over their face.

Your questions have little to with Disney honestly. As a parent I can understand though at this point I'm lucky we all are vaccinated fully - and then some. The CDC has given guidance. Unvaxxed - be masked. They are not the policy maker. WDW is in FL which has made this more difficult to be fair.

What we actually need to do is push vaccination, not mitigations. Those sorta help, but not to vaccine levels.

Can I ask if you are so nervous why you are not vaccinated?

For the last time, we cannot have passports! Why are you so bent on wanting the impossible? I'd be fine with them, but I'm no dummy about this either.

Also the CDC did not remove mitigations. They give guidance for what is allowed. Our governments removed mitigations, not the CDC. If you are not vaxxed you need to be masked. End of story.

Since our governments failed us, we need to push for vaccines and not a passport. What do we do? I know I still help talk with those who have fears. I still push for loved ones to follow right info.

Ranting and crying for passports cannot happen on a national level. We need to find other ways. My state will be trying another incentive... we'll see if it works.

So demand to your goverment to reinstate mitigations until more are vaxxed. The cashier was at least attempting though. Finding a well fitted mask is hard for some.

The answer is simple- I’m fearful if I vaxx and I’m fearful if I don’t. I’ve done a lot of research on the vaccine and watched a lot of webinars by doctors who say that the vaccine can cause <insert applicable things>. These are not anti vaxx doctors (in fact both doctors I watch have their vaccine). But they do think information is being withheld in the statistics of adverse events after the mRNA jab. A British dr came on Dr Been’s show and said that women are having all types of bad reactions.

I don’t necessarily believe that… I do have severe health anxiety and at this point I feel like I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t. I have this vision of dying in my sleep after jab no.2 and my kids wake up to find me or something.

I have pcos which makes me high risk for catching covid and having a poor outcome. I really feel stuck.

I’ve contacted my gyn and fertility dr who both say to get the shot. So now I’m working through my own stuff (like some RN friends who have pcos and are refusing the shot but won’t tell me why so they don’t ‘sway’ my choice ) and trying to gather the courage to stop being stupid and just go get my shot.

Im just going to highlight your own quote. Nothing we do in life is risk free, however I’m sure you can tell by now that it is becoming more and more evident that not being vaccinated is more dangerous then getting vaccinated. Stop thinking that there is a risk free option, start thinking of risk aversion. You clearly know this subconsciously otherwise you wouldn’t have typed what you typed.

You sound like your stuck overthinking it. Consider asking a friend to come along with you and just get it done, preferably today. You’ll feel so much better once you make a decision (either way) and get off the fence. Do you really think adverse events are being suppressed? Have you seen any media in this country the news blows up anytime one is announced. You can also take comfort in knowing that if nothing happens to you 2 months after your last shot it is nearly impossible anything will because of how the vaccine works.
