Montana finally voted to legalize recreational cannabis. If they use Doritos/Twinkies delivery, maybe people will stay home and help this fizzle. ;)
For real, though, we need better messaging from the top and a better grasp on localized action. The only thing the election will do to help is be over so we can focus.
NJ got weed done too....Should help mellow out some people ;)

Oh I don’t think it will be easy but Biden will at least listen to the medical experts, not lie and downplay the severity of what we face, and not hold superspreader rallies.
Yes. Nothing is easy and there is really no winning against the virus...it’s just trying to lose a little less. An actual plan and an actual consistent tone certainly can’t hurt. I wouldn’t be so sure the superspreader rallies end now. I think he enjoys them too much and will continue with his Twitter rants and rallies in between tee times and playmates. Should be much less grumpy doing that.

I am sure Trump will continue but I was saying how Biden will not be holding any and will probably not even have a typical inauguration.

If Joe coulld fix it he would stand alone amongst the leadership of Europe. How come no one has been able to 'fix it'. Under Joe and Obama 60 million people got swine flu and they did 'everything wrong' - just lucky it was a relatively mild disease. Maybe Joe has created a vaccine during his stay in the basement.
Around 12,000 deaths.

Also, whose administration is it now?

Next.

COVID is real but don’t worry Joe will fix it.....
Can you share what date you expect Joe to have “fixed it,” so it can be on the record?

I had predicted awhile ago that the narrative would not go away on Election Day but would shift from “not a big deal” to “why hasn’t Joe fixed it yet?” So Congratulations! on being the first post indicative of that trend. Now I’m just wondering if the shift will happen exactly at noon January 20th, or if because with all of these waves so far we’ve seen that have taken 2 months to wind back down, he will be given until like March 20th? A shorter time but after Jan 20th? Or are we going straight to the shift on something like December 14th, or next week, even though the legal authority is still with this President until noon January 20?

I just want to be prepared. I don't have much faith that the almost 70 million people who voted for the other guy will do much behavior modification to slow the virus (I may be wrong, depends on how many of their friends and family are affected in this wave). So they will, all by themselves, butcher enough red meat (virus spread) to be able to beat the drum about how, "I thought Joe was going to fix this?"

Joe told us he was going to fix it, he promised 100 percent. Joe can’t fix it? Say it ain’t so Joe!

This. Also, I'd say the 60 million+ people the President has led to believe that COVID isn't a big deal may make it difficult for anyone to save our country from itself at this point. But the sooner an intervention, the better.

Better than saying it will go away on its own. Virus' do not work like that.
Who ever is in charge I hope they do something you ALL deserve better than doing nothing.
The US did many things to fight COVID! Ventilators, PPE, border closings, initially complete shutdown of all businesses, local governments enforcing mask mandates, indoor dining still closed in many places, entire business shutdown never to reopen, CA themeparks still closed, free therapeutics, a vaccine soon and more.

Hardly nothing....

We did/are still doing some of these things. The problem as I see it is essentially telling Drs Birx and Fauci to sit down and shut up at nearly every possible turn. Or counter messaging every single hearing they may have in front of congress. That means ventilators and PPE disappear, borders stay closed longer, businesses exist in a weird limbo (look at WDW now), people scoff with masks on chins, etc etc, etc. It's not what was done, it was how it was said, IMO, that opened the door for too many buffoons to raise their brand of hell upon this nation.

There are a lot of us "60 million+" that do believe the virus is a big deal and do our best to protect ourselves and everyone around us. We're not all the same, despite what you see on cable news.

If it was a hoax it would be super easy to fix though 😉
Yeah, we tried wishing it away....I wish That would have worked ;)

The US response was unbalanced. The mask thing being a good example. The current (soon to be past) administration and specifically POTUS came our strong against masks. That tone is very counterproductive to something you list as one of the many things the US did (or tried to do) to fight Covid. The public health experts asked people to avoid large gatherings especially without masks and distancing but the current administration held rallies in violation of all those things. How do we expect people to follow the rules in their personal lives when that example is set from the top? So I can’t have friends and family at a wedding but it’s ok to gather thousands for a rally. Indoor dining is closed some places but bars with not restrictions are open in others, theme parks, schools, etc... All these things should have had a more National push to have some standardized recommendations. Instead the administration fought science and argued with their own task force.

I hope one of the vaccines pans out. If it does it will take a lot to organize the distribution and it may be right in the middle of the transition between administrations. They should have a joint task force (new and old administrations) to wrk through transition of that responsibility. This is way above some petty political nonsense. I also hope there’s a strong push for people to take the vaccine. It could be a train wreck if Trump decides to rail against the vaccine because he wants to see Biden fail and convinces many people to avoid it. I really hope that doesn’t happen, but it’s a legit fear.
