From your lips to the Big Man's ears......fingers/toes etc. everything is crossed lol
I'm not terribly worried about my June trip even. I have extra masks in case transportation is wonky but that's as far wonky as I would think. Even then I doubt it will change. That May 3rd date is coming quick and haven't heard much about the DOJ appealing even.

I'm just assuming we'll all catch COVID on our June trip. At least then, it will not be a surprise.

(Although, as of today, NY Times has cases lower in Orange county than locally.)
I was just having coffee with a friend who went to Universal when we were at Disney for spring break. We didn't mask except on the monorail and one time on the bus (of course flying too). They only masked on plane. They tested positive after they returned. We didn't. I haven't wore a mask except when asked for a funeral after. I figure we're being exposed at some point. 3 trips in the last year to Disney too for me. Either we had it and didn't know to test (hid with allergy issues) or we've been lucky. Or our immune systems are those wackos that never test positive. Who knows. Well I'm sure the trial knows for me but I am not privy to data yet.

That’s how I feel also, we’ve been to WDW once and DL 4 times this year, and more importantly I work in a casino, and neither of us have (knowingly) had it yet. Either we’ve had asymptomatic cases or we’re just lucky and our immune systems were strong enough to fight it off because there’s no way we haven’t been exposed to it hundreds (if not thousands) of times.

Doc "F" had his moment, now his pronouncements are just sputtering background noise.
I heard that he could help with an opening in Iraq:

A month after the mask mandate in our schools ended, and 2 weeks after spring break - and our school, for the first time in the entire pandemic, has at least one classroom in 4 different grades with an official outbreak (multiple cases in the classroom, tied to transmission in school). Subs being brought in to our school from central office because there’s too many teachers out with covid to cover everything from the normal sub pool.

Wish I could say I am surprised.

That stinks. Sorry. We're 2 months post mask dropping and over a month post spring break. They dropped recording cases per local health guidance. We were really bad though in January with teachers out even with masks. We had quite a few classes with massive outbreaks then.

You could say the same thing about every single solitary person on this thread. None of you know what is going to happen. You just talk.

I'll take Fauci any day of the week. He's an actual expert and the rest of us are not.

The people who have been against Fauci since day once are the people who don't like masks and don't like restrictions and rail against anyone who says otherwise. Science has nothing to do with it.

"Moderna announced Thursday that the company has asked the Food and Drug Administration to authorize a low-dose version of its COVID-19 vaccine as the first vaccine for children younger than age 5.

In a study involving about 6,700 children, the company said two-doses of the vaccine administered 28 days apart to children ages 6 months to less than 6 years triggered levels of antibodies equivalent to what has protected older children and adults.

"We are proud to share that we have submitted for authorization for our COVID-19 vaccine for young children," said Stéphane Bancel, Moderna's chief executive officer, in a statement. "We believe [the vaccine] will be able to safely protect these children against SARS-CoV-2, which is so important in our continued fight against COVID-19, and will be especially welcomed by parents and caregivers."

The vaccine appears to be about 51 percent effective for children ages 6 months to less than 2 years, and 37 percent effective for those ages 2 to less than 6 years, the company says."

While an option should be given, with uptake already so low in 5-12 year olds, I can’t see those efficacy numbers persuading many parents of kids under age 5, especially when most kids have already had Covid.
