Thank you!
It does state the active cases' number, but no projections. Maybe not every country is being measured?
That one doesn't do projections...what country are you in again? I'll see if I can find anything - I have another site I check, too.

And we can't forget, people who are not high risk are also ending up dead from this. We've had very young people get severely ill and almost die, or have died. In Vancouver over the weekend we had a 40 year old die at home in self-isolation.

My BIL is 44, no pre-existing conditions and is currently hospitalized and on oxygen. Most definitely NOT just high risk individuals...

A few anecdotes is not "widely established." It is not established (widely or otherwise) that asymptomatic transmission is the primary driver of the spread.

I think everywhere should adopt the Florida plan...as they managed to have their cases plateau 4 days ago...even though they’ve actually gone up 25% since.

It’s called “winning a numbers game through non-mathematical means”

Winning! 😎🌴

That was the speculation first...but has been proven incorrect as actual science has been applied.

Anyone saying “high risk” now is running the chances of spreading dangerous misinformation.

Exactly. More than 1/3 of the deaths in our area have been otherwise healthy individuals under age 50. I’m so tired of the “well these people will die anyway” argument being constantly reopened by the same people.

Especially now with my BIL sick, I’m trying to show restraint and not get emotional...

It's ok. Thank you for taking the time, I appreciate it. :)
You're very welcome. I do find the very haphazard mish-mash of data available through different sites to be extremely frustrating. I use coronavirus.jhu.edu for current data (but they don't show the graphs by state, or at least I can't get them to work properly), covidtracking.com for historical data, and covid19.healthdata.org for projections. I used the historical data for my state to create a graph that shows the actual trends for my state and I update it daily.

Except the math seems to support that it has plateaued. There were 1,300+ new cases on April 3. It's been under that number every day since. I don't think the numbers are final for today, but it's currently showing a few hundred under in Worldometers. If it holds, that would be five straight days under the peak.

So have all of the unions now "reached an agreement" that Disney will not be paying them and there is no guarantee they will be all hired back when they reopen? These union by union announcements that act like they "negotiated" something are just sad.
I thought a furlough was a job when it opens back up?

The point remains: don’t Celebrate victory in the middle of the game. Not out of the woods. Modeling is NOT predicting that the case are going to retreat efficiently or steadily to zero everywhere because some areas have shown progress. Maybe by May 1st the picture will be clear

I completely agree - that's why the union "negotiated" nothing as they have zero leverage. And call it whatever you want, but not paying you is fired/laid-off/furloughed/unemployed. Yes, you get your token benefits for now, until they officially lay you off when the demand is not there when they reopen. I have no idea why Disney paid everyone through 4/19, but that's a learning for another time.
Why would they lay everyone off? They need people to operate the park when it opens again
