Pull the power or destroy the equipment.

No choice really than have an excess capacity. Tough to do at the rate coal plants are being taken offline.
They can rotate who they pull. Block across has power and never lost. Next blocks up are back to without. But thanks for the sympathy.... 100 degree heat no electricity for fans even is deadly.

The Great Migration from the Northern U.S. to the South was dependent upon A/C and cheap electricity.

Oops!

Better make sure your state has an aggressive renewable energy high-production policy.

I wish..... my state is backwards with some things at times. Not in the south either. Just crappy midwest that goes from negatives in the winter to triple digits in the summer.

In other news, the FDA voted to give Moderna's vaccine an EAU for kids 6 months to 5 years.

The unvaccinated status of my two kids (one just turned 6 months today!) was the one thing keeping me from planning a Disney World trip...

...but now, its the huge cost increase, decreased offerings, crowds, up-charges, and Genie that are keeping me away.

Do you have a basement? Cooler in those places.
It's moldy and musty. Guess what my allergies hate. I do okay in the heat. Just not able to do a hotel tonight. We gave up our room and they're all booked or out of power. Our main level is at 75 right now so not awful. Our main floor of the house is tight. Upstairs is a sauna

About to get some AC and charge my phone picking up dinner

Totally not covid related to us, but we have power (again). Hoping this lasts. At least we can stay here tonight. My allergies are awful as I tried to open the windows last night when I stayed with the cats (hence not going into the basement). Tomorrow's high is only 93 and honestly today wasn't as bad as yesterday in the house. Still charging to be safe.

Tested negative this morning which is outside the window for covid at WDW. At this point any testing positives will be local causes for us.

Fauci has the Covid. It is inevitable. We will all get it multiple times throughout our lives.
How could that happen if he’s double vaxxed and triple boosted? Im confused.

We're scheduled to leave 7/1 and the three of us are just getting over our first round of Covid. My son brought it home on 6/3. We;re all vaxxed and boosted. Hopefully we don't catch it again while we're there next month.

Sorry to hear that. 90 days is the minimum for being good upon recovery.

My spouse and kid were exposed Monday. Spouse positive now. Kid negative. Funny spent time in Florida with higher numbers and was fine. Come home and spouse picks it up. Though he is extremely mildly symptomatic at this time.

Then you didn’t pay attention in high school bio class.

Two years of this and still confused about how vaccines work?
Well he is the man who said this for all the world to hear so I can see the confusion many may have. Also many of us had our last high school biology class more than 35 years ago and I will be honest I am not sure we even touched on the topic of vaccines but I could be wrong or forgetful!

Better now than during vacation. Hopefully y’all are pretty much asymptomatic.

“A vaccine is a biological substance designed to protect humans from infections caused by bacteria and viruses. Vaccines are also called immunizations because they take advantage of our natural immune system’s ability to prevent infectious illness. To understand how vaccines work, we need to consider how our immune system protects us from infections.” Basically a vaccine is suppose to give you immunization to the targeted bacteria or virus. The covid shots are showing that they are really not vaccines in the traditional sense.
