Yeah I see way higher for NYPD in multiple places. The base may start in the 40s but all the extras add up

Nothing personal but money isn't everything and many would rather never move to FL. Even from Ohio I wouldn't want to make the move and I loathe winters.
Yes, pay is high for NYPD but so is cost of living.
In all seriousness, THIS could be dangerous,
The woman is very much in a high risk condition age wise.
She's not masked - she should be wearing an n95 in this situation.
And we're relying on the masks that the men are wearing to hold in anything they may be carrying.
For me, this represents an example of the hypocrisy that I've seen regarding covid and what are supposed to be protective measures against it.

Btw, there are published cohort studies in the OB/GYN literature that demonstrate no difference in fertility rates and fetal/baby health in vaccinated vs. unvaccinated women. So, wanting to get pregnant is not an excuse to avoid vaccination.

Anecdotally, my fully vaccinated wife is set to deliver a healthy baby in about 6 weeks.

How is this hypocrisy? Yes, the woman shld be wearing a mask. But I don't see any hypocrisy.

And for all you know she's boosted and living in am area of low spread.

There have been examples of hypocrisy. This isn't one.

No good deed shall go unpunished.

If you’re having significant fertility issues, spending lots of money dealing with it, and are looking for conditions to be perfect, I can understand why you would not want to risk throwing anything off. At least temporarily. But I imagine those types of circumstances combined with a mandate are relatively rare.

You know what can throw things off in regards to fertility? COVID.

Some of the data comes from the field of reproductive endocrinology, so these were women already having trouble conceiving. Even in this population, vaccination had a slightly positive effect on fertility, mainly because the other, unvaccinated cohort had more COVID cases.

Hey I think it makes sense for someone dealing with these circumstances to get vaccinated too. I only said I can understand their apprehension and think they need to be supported in every way possible. I can only imagine the emotional toll.

But again, this isn’t the reason that the vast majority of the unvaccinated aren’t getting the shot.
