You do realize that for the vast majority that get COVID, which is the unvaccinated BTW, death is not imminent. In fact the chances of dying are pretty low. Maybe if you actually looked at the stats and stopped following all the fear mongering on the media you'd understand that and in turn understand why one decides they don't need the vaccine to survive COVID.
As far as spreading it to others, if those others are so afraid then stay the hell out of the public. Protect yourself, stop expecting others to protect you.
I have a friend who survived COVID last fall, no previous health conditions. Spent 9 days in the ICU, suffered a heart attack while fighting for his life, and it took 3 months for him to be able to walk a block. Still has lingering long hauler issues today. Get the damn vaccine.

Seriously though. If you haven't yet, get the shot. It is clear now with the amount of unvaccinated, the vaccinated can't ignore them..because it is not screwing many of them over.

I got my shot in April.
Some of us are capable of understanding the reasons why others won't.
Some of us will not join on the bandwagon to try to shame them and guilt them.
Some of us are true pro-choice proponents for all, not when it's convenient for us personally.
Some of us follow the science instead of our emotions which we "think" are science.

And he is part of the high survival rate.

I used to think that way. For like 5 minutes.. until I heard their reasons for not getting it. I dont support mandates but I’m done listening to their excuses.

Shame them , guilt them, ? Have you been to a hospital ER lately currently bring overrun with unvaccinated ? I have and have family that work in those locations that live it every week they work.. And the some of the vaccinated surgeries are currently on hold because of it. I will point out this IS a pandemic of the unvaccinated. There are reasons some won't get the vaccine including being anti-vax some even bold enough to be anti mask also .

There are no good reasons, absent a precluding medical condition
Irresponsible behavior deserves shame
Choosing to smoke around others? Choosing to drink and drive?
Every justification for the vaccine is based on bona fide medical research. Plenty of justifications for refusing the vaccine are based on emotions and controversial science.

Next?

It’s becoming less and less of a choice as far as who will be staying home. Employers are mandating the vaccines and more will do so with full FDA approval. Colleges are requiring them and other schools won’t be far behind. In my area, several bars and restaurants are asking for proof of vaccination. Sports and concert venues are also coming on board.

This is starting to remind me of the great smoking debate from so many years ago when smokers were telling people who wanted restrictions to just stay home and not go to bars or restaurants if they didn’t like it. That didn’t work out for them.

Yes, shame them and guilt them. If you feel you need to do that go ahead. I prefer not to sink to that level.

That is true, but until there is 100% of employers, schools and government on board with mandates, people still have their freedom of choice.

No need to shame and guilt anyone. The arguments are pointless. The more people get vaccinated the more support there is going to be for requiring it places. If people make the choice not to get vaccinated they will have limited options as far as employment and now in some cases leisure activity too. We will find out whether the freedom to choose not to be vaccinated is worth losing a job or missing out on public activities and I am pretty sure the majority will come around.

Experts wrote the science also. The studies on masks provide data, his statement provides no science to back it up, so I have a hard time blindly accepting what he is saying.
Probably because it doesn't agree with your opinion. I am inclined to accept it because I've been making the distinction between "masks" and "cloth face coverings" for a long time.

True, I was more thinking of the strategy to not lockdown. Curious at what point we can start seeing cases go down, my guess is it will take another 8 weeks to start seeing a decline in Delta cases.
Specific to Florida, I'd be surprised if there wasn't a clear decline before the end of August.

I agree, but I'm not sure I'll be ready to let go of my anger toward those who actively spread lies and propaganda that slowed the rate of vaccinations in the first place.

If people weren't so hair trigger violent, I would happily sink to that level.
Instead, we have Covid vax deniers in our neighborhood who insist they are immune since two people in the family got sick in early March of 2019. I am done. I hope they get vaxed, but if they don't and 1 or more get something, hey, too bad.
Sometimes people need a very painful I told you so, like the family of the guy that should have just gotten the damn shot who is now dead, but his wife and kids are now vaxed.
