MA is solidly blue, but our governor is a Republican. He deflected when asked about vaccine passports and said he wants to focus on getting shots into arms, and that there's time to discuss other options later.

I disagree with him on this wholeheartedly.

Someone correct m e if I'm wrong, but I believe it is not in the federal government's right to mandate this sort of thing, BUT it is legal for private companies and local government entities to implement such rules.

That's so interesting to me.

I have friends that have different viewpoints than me about certain topics, but honestly, vaccine resistance (to the point where they are just completely not listening to reason) is a line drawn in the sand for me at this point. Friends no more. I can't respect their decision, can't respect them.

Thank god most everyone I know is vaccinated.

People are more than issues. I have an employee raised by hippies. Her whole life she was taught to never put anything foreign into her body and to not trust the government. She is a hard worker with a heart of gold. She is more than her position in vaccines. But for her choice, I’m requiring her to be masked at work. And she complies because she knows I’m the boss.

In my state, we're kind of purple with a Republican head. The Republicans hate him now since we did a pseudo lockdown in March-June last year. No way the "mah freedoms" will go for it. I already have a cousin by marriage who equated being asked for proof of covid test going to Hawaii was like Nazi times. We have that here. It won't fly. We have some counties with only 25% or so vaccinated. The unvaxxed are the vocal majority
