My FIL is planning to go to the drive up vaccination site in Daytona tomorrow for his vaccine. I don’t think he realizes there are only 1,000 doses and people started lining up Sunday afternoon to get one. I’ll update tomorrow what happens. I think this type of setup is ultimately how they need to do it most places eventually, but maybe just do appointments.

To be completely accurate that‘s pre-existing co-morbidities. For example if you get Covid which leads to pneumonia and then you die and had nothing else wrong with you you still have a co-morbidity of pneumonia listed as cause of death. Same as cardiac arrest, etc... Thats why there’s a difference between that 17% and the now famous debunked conspiracy theory that only 6% of Covid deaths were actually from Covid that made the rounds in the Fall.
Speaking of that 6% conspiracy that we all thought was thoroughly and completely debunked... guess who was tweeting it again today?

I've been pondering this. I think there is some, some fatigue too, and some really don't believe it's serious.
Fatigue is definitely real. In the grand scheme, it's a small thing but my daughter asked today if she could go with a friend to a trampoline park. We ended up saying no (indoor place with people fro. She was outside our family), but I was very tempted to say yes. Trampoline parks are her favorite fun activity and she hasn't been to one in a full year now. Or really even been able to hang out with a friend.

I'm sure they are sanitizing and requiring masks, so I could see someone being comfortable and it was very tempting.

Very real for sure for many. Fortunately we're past that type of place here, but even friends cannot just hang out since it got cold. The outdoor chats are gone so it's feeling lonely. We start back at school Tuesday despite the govs suggestion. Still hybrid so half my kid's class isn't seeing each other yet. I swear my kid is doing better than I am...

Unless he deleted it, it isn't Trump. All he's tweeting about is election stuff.
Nope, still there as of 10:06pm

“The number of cases and deaths of the China Virus is far exaggerated in the United States because of @CDCgov’s ridiculous method of determination compared to other countries, many of whom report, purposely, very inaccurately and low. “When in doubt, call it Covid.” Fake News!”

Tracey gold had really bad anorexia or bulimia.

And Alan thicke is dead.

So there’s that too.

And “*****” who was Walter Koening’s (checkov from Star Trek) son committed suicide about 10 years ago.
The list of drug overdoses and suicides does seem to be long and since this is Disney board what about all those Disney child stars. Yikes! Justin Timberlake seemed to turn out Ok as far as I know. I'll admit I watch a lot of movies and Netflix, but I don't keep up with all the TMZ stuff. If their under 35 I probably don't know who they are.

For those living outside of Florida: Brevard County is the county to the east of Walt Disney World. It has Port Canaveral, Cape Canaveral, and the Orlando Melbourne Airport within it.

As likely in many counties they have not had enough vaccine nor end point delivery capacity to service the demand in the early priority groups.

Wait, so is our count high because of our method of determination? Or are other countries's counts low becuase they report inaccurately and slowly?

It's his old hoaxy line that Covid deaths are magnified because a patient with Covid had other comorbidities. You know, because only 6% of patients ACTUALLY died of Covid. Or 14%, or whatever the number is that the deniers are claiming.

We all saw this coming. At least anyone who thought about it for a little time and ignored the stuff coming from our leaders. There was no way we could do those numbers of getting people vaccinated initially. There’s to many moving parts.. no countrywide plan.. not enough doses out there yet. It may take longer then we all expected but it’s started which is a good thing.
My plan would have been able to kill 2 birds with one stone. Put the vaccine in beer.. then open all the bars and pubs.. we could have everyone vaccinated before next Friday. No one listens to me though.
