SO it looks like this might actually be the reason.

What is the allegation. I’m lost.

Pfizer has confirmed that there is nothing wrong on their part. There are millions of doses just sitting on the shelves. No orders from the Feds on where to send them. Pure negligence from our government.

Yep. Sounds like communications issues. Without greater context, I read it as alleging malicious intent rather than communications snafus. Regardless, competent leadership can’t come fast enough.

Their incompetence stems from their maliciousness. I will say that it will be criminal if those vials on the shelves have no destination set by tomorrow.

Where?
Because? That’s a pretty serious allegation without a link.
Michigan and Illinois? What could that accusation be??

You are not lost...you just haven’t found the road yet.

Negligence is carelessness...malfeasance is intentional misconduct

I honestly don’t know what it’s gonna take for EVERYONE to realize who they’re dealing with?
Seriously...people do some GD research and understand what has happened here....it’s only been 5 years now. People must be busy.

It's only the one thing that the entire country is obsessing over. No reason for a bunch of government types to hustle. And of course it will go down as proof government can't do anything right, when it's simply revealing the priorities of the team that's currently in charge.

Headlines like this are not going help people's confidence in the vaccine. A more accurate headline would have been "Nurse with history of fainting, faints when getting the vaccine"

I agree...the click hoarders need to control themselves for once.

To be fair: the Washington Times is a steaming pile of made up garbage.

Vasovagal syncope. Happens several times weekly in any large hospital's phlebotomy or vaccination clinics. It's a stress-induced response to seeing your own blood or having a needle enter your body and has nothing do with what was actually injected.

Some people even have a few convulsions after they pass out. Not pathologic at all, and they quickly resolve without any damage. Unfortunately, I can almost see the next click-bait, ill-informed headline write itself: "Patient receives COVID vaccine, immediately has seizure!".

"Doctor Says Seizure Like Episodes Common After All Vaccines."

The track record by this current administration I could see them pushing to do nothing and sit on as much help as they can to push the next administration into a deeper hole.
So, a self absorbed narcissist wants to get less vaccine out now so that his replacement can get credit for getting more people vaccinated? That makes a lot of sense.

Seriously, don't you think that "this current administration" wants to be able to take credit for doing a great job and being the reason why the next has success with the vaccine?

The follow up story should show a nurse who hadn’t gotten the vaccine yet sick with Covid in an ICU on a ventilator. Keep your eye on the ball people. When you faint you get up 5 minutes later and go about your day...when you go on a ventilator there‘s a good chance you never come off. Risk vs reward. Easy choice.

I’m no fan of the current administration at all, but I just don’t see this being the case this time. It sounds like a glitch with the computer system and not anything nefarious. It’s also only a week into this, it’s going to have some bumps. We cannot politicize the vaccine. It will have devastating consequence.

Based on past history it doesn’t matter what actually happens because Trump just creates his own reality and his followers believe it despite living through the actual reality. I’m sure in a few months Trump will claim the vaccine came out under his administration and that covid was defeated and gone before Biden ever took over. It’s a complete myth with zero truth to it, but that never stopped him before.

It's also one of the reasons why people are being monitored for 30 minutes after receiving the vaccination. So if you do faint, they can gently lower you to the ground, instead of falling and hitting your head.
